He or she must respond to the polling on behalf of the group and must monitor, document and verify the active participation of the individuals in the small group. Gary Shamis is the principal of Winding River Consulting, as well as co-founder and host of the Winning Is Everything Conference, and the author of "Building Blocks" and "How to Manage Your Accounting Practice." A serial entrepreneur, he built a Top 100 Firm, and co-founded The Advisory Board.
