Anyone that would like to attend worship in the sanctuary is welcome to come. Recommended guidelines will be followed including, but not limited to: Observe six-foot social distancing when you arrive Face coverings should be worn at all times by anyone over the age of 10. Masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer will be available at the doors for your convenience. No Sunday School Classes No Nursery—children must sit with family No Meet & Greet No Childrens Sermon Ushers/Greeters will hand out bulletins and individual Lords Supper sets as you arrive. Tithes & Offerings may be placed in the offering plate in the Narthex. (You may also continue to mail your gifts in to the church office.) Worship Service to be Livestreamed from Church Sanctuary beginning June 7th

Beginning Sunday, June 7th, worship services will be livestreamed on FaceBook from the sanctuary at 10:45am. Anyone that would like to attend worship in the sanctuary is welcome to come. Recommended guidelines will be followed including, but not limited to:

Observe six-foot social distancing when you arrive

Face coverings should be worn at all times by anyone over the age of 10. Masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer will be available at the doors for your convenience.

No Sunday School Classes

No Nursery—children must sit with family

No Meet & Greet

No Children’s Sermon

Ushers/Greeters will hand out bulletins and individual Lord’s Supper sets as you arrive.

Tithes & Offerings may be placed in the offering plate in the Narthex. (You may also continue to mail your gifts in to the church office.)

First Presbyterian Church of Magnolia, Arkansas The Minutes for the Stated Meeting of the Session

Tuesday, April 28th, 2020, 6:00 p.m. The First Presbyterian Church of Magnolia, Arkansas meet for its monthly stated meeting on Tuesday, April 28th, 2020. Dr. Pierre Boumtje called the meeting to order, declared a quorum present, and opened the meeting with prayer at 6:00 p.m. The following members were present: Moderator Pierre Broetje, Sue Joyce, Mike McNeill, Katherine Phillips, James Reddell, and Kay Whitehead. Susan Dees, Ricky Murphy and Lea West were present via Zoom. Session Devotional: Susan Dees gave the Devotional via Zoom. Treasurer’s report: Kathy Gean gave the treasurer’s report. She stated that there had been a drop in the Mucklow Fund, but expenses were down therefore the Church was “holding our own financially”. Session voted to accept the report as information. Pastor Search Committee: Kathy Gean reported that the committee had received a new referral which was a self-referral. Approval of the minutes: The minutes of the, March 24th, 2019 Stated Session Meeting were reviewed. Sue Joyce moved to approve the minutes, Katherine Phillips seconded, and Session voted accordingly. Correspondence and requests: There were no requests nor correspondence this month. Pastor’s Report: Pastoral Notes:

Health Pierre Boumtje reported on the health status of several parishioners, including Alice Bartushock, Katherine and T. G., Babe Knowles, and Ray Uhrich. Dates to Remember a. May 25th – Church office closed for Memorial Day b. May 31st – June 6th – Kathy Gean vacation - PENDING c. July10th – Re-Schedule date for Area Agency on Aging Caregivers Lunch and Learn

Committee Reports: Mission and Evangelism----------------------Katherine Phillips reported that, although the committee did not meet, they made

arrangements for Marlar’s cafeteria to deliver the meal to Southern Christian Mission on the third Tuesday of the month, April 21st.

Administration----------------------------------Sue Joyce reported that her committee met via email in order to take care of routine maintenance and worship arrangements. Discipleship—did not meet Deacons—did not meet Discipleship—did not meet Worship—did not meet

Assignments for May 2020 (5 Sundays, no Wednesdays Suppers) Deacon of the month for May – David DeSeguirant Deacon of the month for June – Mike Bentley Wednesday Meals for May- no Fellowship Wednesday Meals for June – no Fellowship Sessional Devotional for July - New Business: 1) Wednesday ---The Wired Word on Zoom 2) Todd and Joanna Smith have a suggestion for Wednesday Family Bible Study. The Session discussed this but voted to put this on hold for now in order too see when the church can open and begin to have various programs again. The Session will revisit this next month. 3)Ricky Murphy moved that the Session wait or the Governor’s pronouncement on churches reopening. Kay Whitehead seconded and Session voted accordingly. If churches do not open shortly, then the Discipleship Committee will make a decision regarding Sunday services. Old Business: There were no old business There being no further business, Kay Whitehead moved that the Session adjourn, Sue Joyce seconded, and the Session voted accordingly.
