EVENT PHILOSOPHY: The World comes to us! That’s what is being created. Hot off our Journeymen Fall Classic, one of the preeminent pre-season tournaments in the USA, we’ve created a spring freestyle version for the wrestling community. The event that everyone wants to see! The best of the best from across the world, squaring off in a round-robin format. We expect competitors from all across the United States of America and several traditional wrestling countries to participate. Best of the Best: This is a true battleground for wrestlers across the country and the world for that matter. Six-, eight or 12-man round-robin brackets with all decorated and accomplished opponents (three to four matches for each wrestler). World, National, State or New England place finishers, followed by state qualifiers, get preference. Not world competitor level? Don’t worry, we pair competitors with like skill levels. HOW DO I PARTICIPATE? If you’d like to participate in this event, please reach out to Journeymen Wrestling to research availability by emailing [email protected]. This is a small, ultra-compet- itive event and it will fill up quickly. RULES: • Cadet/Junior ages combined in the same brackets. 18 years old and younger allowed to participate (Must be in high school, minus international students) • Athletes cannot wear high school singlets at the competition • USA Wrestling card required WEIGHTS: Cadet /Junior Division: 100 lbs (45.5 kg), 106 lbs (48.2 kg), 113 lbs (51.4 kg), 120 lbs (54.5 kg), 126 lbs (57.3 kg), 132 lbs (60 kg), 138 lbs (62.7 kg), 145 lbs (65.9 kg), 152 lbs (69.1 kg), 160 lbs (72.7 kg), 170 lbs (77.2 kg), 182 lbs (82.7 kg), 195 lbs (88.6 kg), 220 lbs (100 kg) and 285 lbs (129.5 kg) Middle School Division: 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100, 105, 112, 120, 128, 136 REGISTRATION & ENTRY FEE: • All entry forms must be completed online and meet April 10, 2019 deadline or be completed before the event is sold out. • Once you’ve received a written pre-approval and a four-digit code from Journeymen Wrestling to wrestle in the event, you’ll be directed to register online via www.journeymenwrestling.com. Once you’ve been ap- proved, you have 24 hours to finish the registration (register and pay), otherwise the process starts over. Please reach out only when you’re ready to actually enroll. • Registration is $65 (+ paypal fee) • THERE ARE ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS ONCE YOU REGISTER • Spectator Fee: $15 (good for April 13 only), Duals $10 (April 14 only) • Coach’s Pass/Fee: $25 (good for April 13) ITINERARY: Weigh ins: Fri. evening, April 12, 2019 • 6:30-8:00 pm, Union College, Schenectady NY (Ice Rink). PHILOSOPHY: State teams from around the USA will compete against one another, as well as international teams in a dual championship. Ideally 12 - 16 teams will be positioned in a modified round robin bracketing format, producing 4 to 5 matches.

PARTICIPANT’S WAIVER AND RELEASE FROM LIABILITY

1. I, __________________________________________, the undersigned, on behalf of myself, my heirs and next of kin, personal representatives, agents, insurers, successors and assigns (all hereinafter “Releasors”), hereby FOREVER RELEASE, DISCHARGE AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE Journeymen Athletics, LLC, its insurers, its affiliated clubs, administrators, agents, directors, officers, state organizations, members, committees, volunteers, all employees of Journeymen Athletics, LLC, and any and all participants, officials, referees, coaches, host clubs, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, local organizing committees (and if applicable) owners, lessors and operators of premises used to conduct any Journeymen Athletics, LLC sanctioned events, meet, practice or activity (all hereinafter “Releasees”) from any and all liabilities, claims, demands, causes of action or losses of any kind or nature, past, present or future, direct or consequential, that I may hereinafter have for PERSONAL INJURY, PERMANENT, TEMPORARY, TOTAL OR PARTIAL DISABILITY, DISFIGUREMENT, PARALYSIS AND ANY OTHER LOSSES OR DAMAGES TO PERSON OR PROPERTY OR DEATH, arising out of my participa-tion in, attendance at or traveling to and from any Journeymen Athletics, LLC sanctioned event or activity including, but not limited to, LOSSES CAUSED BY THE PASSIVE OR ACTIVE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES, or hidden, latent or obvious defects in the facilities or equipment used.

2. Releasor understands and acknowledges that Journeymen Athletics, LLC activities and the sport of wrestling in general have inherent dangers that no amount of care, caution, training, instruction, supervision or expertise can eliminate. RELEASOR EXPRESSLY AND VOLUNTARILY ASSUMES ALL RISK OF PERSONAL INJURY, PERMANENT, TEMPORARY, TOTAL OR PARTIAL DISABILITY, DISFIGUREMENT, PARALYSIS AND ANY OTHER LOSSES OR DAMAGES TO PERSON OR PROPERTY OR DEATH, sustained while participating in, attending, preparing for or traveling to and from any Journeymen Athletics, LLC sanctioned event, meet, practice or activity, including the risk of PASSIVE OR ACTIVE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES, or hidden, latent or obvious defects in the facilities or equipment used.

3. Releasor acknowledges and fully understands that each participant in any Journeymen Athletics, LLC sanction event, meet practice or activity, including Releasor, will be engaging in activities that involve risk of serious injury, including permanent, temporary, total or partial disability, disfigurement, paralysis and any other losses to person or property, including death, and that severe social and economic losses may result not only from Releasor’s own actions, inactions or negligence, but also from the actions, inactions or negligence of others notwithstanding the rules of play or the condition of the premises or of any equipment used. Further, Releasor acknowledges and fully understands that there may be other associated risks with such activities which are not known or not reasonably foreseeable at this time.

I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I HAVE HAD SUFFICIENT OPPORTUNITY TO REVIEW THE PROVISIONS OF THIS DOCUMENT AND UNDERSTAND ITS PURPOSE, MEANING AND INTENT.

Refer to wrestling event when securing a room.

Staying at one of the host hotels is a prerequisite of the event. Participants are required to stay at one of the host hotels. There are several hotels in the area, but we caution you to do your research about these establishments and the specific area they’re housed. Some of the hotels in close proximity to the arena simply do not measure up to our organization’s standards. The hotels we’ve contracted with have discounted the rates significantly for our group.
