• The preposition i(n) induces a mutation on words which follow beginning with the following consonants:

– B– C– D– F– G– P– T

Úrú

• In Irish grammars this type of mutation is called Úrú. This term is usually translated as nasalization or eclepsis because the mutation “eclipses” the normal sound of the consonant.
