1) To investigate the preferences of ants towards sugars or aspartame.
2) To determine how it affected their survival rate.
OBJECTIVES:
SIGNIFICANCE OF PROJECT..
To determine if ants were attracted more to sugar or aspartame and to determine how it affected their survival
rate.
Gain information whether aspartame is safe for human use, based on the effect of them on survival of the ants.
Aspartame is a low-calorie sweetener used in many foods and drinks. Because it is between 160 and 200 times sweeter than sugar, only very small amounts are needed to sweeten a product.
LITERATURE REVIEW
Ants are insects, live in colonies made up of a queen, several male
ants, many soldier ants, and mostly workers.
Sugar is made up of carbohydrates, which serve as the main energy
source of the body and help form proteins.

DISCUSSION:
THE SAFETY OF CONSUMING SUGAR AND ASPARTAME
THE PREFERENCES OF ANTS
• Towards liquid• Sugar than artificial sugar
•Composition of sugar and aspartame• Aspartame uses as ants poison
CONCLUSION1) The ants more attracted
to sugar than aspartame
2) The survival rate of ants on consumption of sugar, aspartame and nutritional bar were determined.
