themselves. They are like armies pushing mountains through their own might. But then again, when Jesus ascended to heaven after he resurrected from death, He didn’t actually leave us alone and fight alone against all the forces of evil. Instead, He left us with the power of the Holy Spirit to enable us overcome the world. We are made victorious through His death and rise, thus defeat is not ours to worry about. The reason why many would suffer difficulties and failures in life is their rejection of power endowed by Jesus Himself to make us victorious overall the earth. The Book of 2Timothy 1:7 promises that we are given power, love and self-discipline through the Holy Spirit. God didn’t give us fearful spirit but power to be free of worries in life. When everyone around you is in world compromising, it is hard to work with the conviction. But the Holy Spirit enables us to battle against it to triumph. It is so hard to love people and care for their salvation. But with the Holy Spirit filling us with love, we are then made able to love not just our families and friends but we also develop to attend to others who are still in the world. Self-denial to magnify Christ Jesus is a hard thing to do. It is stepping on your self-desires and priority to uplift Jesus. But the Holy Spirit developed in us a heart of compassion to glorify Jesus in all that we do, hence, we can overcome the world and live for God. It is true that every battle is hard to win. But we are not sent alone to fight alone and lose alone. We are gifted with the power of the Holy Spirit so that we do not lose heart and claim victory always in any situation in life. The promise is made. The promise is true. The promise

is yours to declare!

himself when he came face-to-face with the angel Gabriel who prophesied the upcoming birth of his son, John. But Zechariah, in his doubt and disbelief, has lost his ability to speak until his wife Elizabeth gives birth.

If we look into it, at one point, Zechariah's response was rather something to be considered and respected as he's had a reasonable dilemma. Why? First, Elizabeth is good in years already. Second, she’s also barren. Things that just make it so impossible for her to bear a child.

But God is great and his plans are way better than ours. Elizabeth, through God's grace, bore and gave birth to a child who was later named John just as the angel prophesied. I couldn't imagine how happy they must have been, thinking that they could still have a child despite hopelessness. They must've prayed for it for the longest time and might have even come to that point of giving up but God is always good! He hears the prayers of His children.

Often times in our lives we ask and pray for specific things. And we get frustrated and upset whenever we don't get the answer we're expecting. But God certainly hears our prayers (1 John 5:14-15) and His plans are way ahead and better than ours (Isa. 55:9). Just like Zechariah and Elizabeth, let's not get tired on praying because we know that God hears and God responds to the prayers of His people. If we have to wait for years just like what the blessed couple did before they're blessed with a child, then let's trust His ways and believe His character that He's always at work to those who love and trust Him (Rom. 8:28).

It’s been 7 years since I was introduced to Him.

He was perfectly pictured to me and it felt so heartrending how He made his sacrifices and how he loved me so for who I am. This I

didn’t really know... until I met Him.

I grew up with my grandparents taking care of me because my mother was busy working then. They used to bring me to a church where my Uncle is a Pastor. There I learned more about Him, knew things that I didn’t know before, the truth of why He sacrificed His life for me and the reason why He loved me much. From there, we’ve become friends and became closer.

Until teenage life came, and I was filled with all the curiosity of all the things this world has. I took a huge turn. It created big gap between us. I’ve committed a lot of mistakes that I never even noticed... mistakes that paved ways for me to be far away from Him. And the friendship that we had before was nearly gone.

And the days went by, after the 1st semester in College, my Sunday classes were over and I was back to our church. One of the best things is the new people in... people who helped me be back to Him. Until one day I was able to talk with one of the new ones to share about our relationship to Him and talked a lot about Him, which made my eyes become open from all the blindness that I’ve had from the world. And realized then, all I’ve done was wrong.

And as I realized things, I tried to talk to Him but at first I was so reluctant because of guilt from the things I’ve done. Yet He called unto me and said, “Don’t be ashamed my child, I’m here and I want you back”. After hearing that voice, I fell from my knees and cried out to Him. On that time I felt a warm embrace of a Father. We had a long talk, I asked for forgiveness and I repented all the things that I’ve done against Him. I started to tell stories to Him, stories that I wasn’t able to tell Him before. Now the gap is gone, were back to the friendship that we had before. I am so blessed.

Whenever I look back to the past, it’s nice to glimpse that you’ve had transformation in your life from bad to good. And the difference on how you overcome your weaknesses with Him and without Him.

It’s so good to be back to my Friend. His name is JESUS.

Isa ang mga langgam sa mga maliliit na insekto na may

pambihirang kaisipan. Nabubuhay sila ng may disiplina kahit walang nag-uutos sa kanila. Nag-iimpok sila ng pagkain habang tag-araw. Pinaghahandaan nila ang anumang parating na unos.

At pagkatapos ng malakas na ulan, muli silang makikipagsapalaran para sa susunod na buhos ng ulan.

Isa sa nakaka-pagpababa ng pag-asa ng isang tao ay ang mga problema. Mga pangyayaring sumusubok sa ating pananampalataya... mga pagkakataong pinababayaan na lamang nating dumating ng hindi natin pinaghahandaan... mga bagay na nag-iiwan sa atin ng malalim nasugat. Minsan, ito rin ang mga nagiging dahilan upang ating tanungin ang Diyos, tayo nga ba ay mahal Nya?

Paano mo nalalaman ang pag-ibig ng Diyos sa atin? Tulad ng bukang

liwayway,tapat at wagas ang pag-ibig ng Diyos sa atin. Ipinagkaloob Nya sa atin

ang nag-iisa nyang bugtong na Anak para sa iisa at napakahalagang dahilan, at

ito ay ang iligtas tayo mula sa kasalanan. Ngunit malungkot na iilan lamang ang

nakakaintindi nito.

Ipinagkanulo, pinahirapan at namatay na may mapagpa-kumbabang puso. Nilinis Nya tayo sa

pamamagitan ng kanyang dugo. At muli, Siya ay nabuhay, umakyat sa langit para mapuspos

naman tayo ng Banal na Espiritu. Walang naging puwang ang galit sa Kanyang puso.

Nagkakasala man tayo araw-araw, Siya lamang ang marunong magpatawad. Kung gaano man

kalayo ang silangan sa kanluran, gayun din inalis ng Diyos ang ating mga pag-kakasala.

Sa ating pagdanas ng mga suliranin, ang pagtuon sa ginawa ni Hesus ang higit nating dapat

na bigyang-pansin. Hindi tayo iniwan. Hindi tayo pinabayaan. At kailanman, Sya ang ating

magiging kasama. At tayo ay mananagumpay sa buhay, dahil ang mundo ay

napagtagumpayan na n gating Panginoon.

Tulad ng isang mahinang langgam, ang pagsikat ng araw ay isang magandang pagpapahayag

sa kanya ng pag-ibig ng Diyos. Dumating man ang ilang buhos ng ulan, alam Nya na darating

at darating ang araw para muli, siya ay makapag-impok ng pagkain. Hindi sapat ang pagsubok

upang tayo ay mawalan ng pag-asa.Hindi dapat ito ang maging basehan ng ating desisyon sa

hinaharap. Sa karunungan at pagpapatawad ng Diyos, makakatuon tayo sa hinaharap na may

pag-asa.

Si Hesus ang dapat na pinaka-una at pinaka-matalik nating kaibigan.

Tayo’y pinili ng Diyos. Tayo ay ipinanganak muli, inangkin bilang mga anak niya at

tinanggap bilang mga kaibigan niya.

Noon kilala ko ang Diyos at alam ko na siya ay nasa ating buhay ngunit hanggang doon na lamang. Hindi ko alam na may magagawa sya sa aking buhay. Minsan din nagtatanim ako nang galit sa kanya sa panahong ako’y sinusubok. Ngunit lahat nang ito’y napalitan ng kaligayahan at katahimikan nang ako at si Hesus ay naging mag-kaibigan.

Sinubukan ko makipag-kaibigan sa kanya sa pamamagitan ng pag-bubukas ko sa kanya nang lahat nang aking alalahanin, problema at lahat nang mga paghihirap sa aking buhay, at hindi naman ako nag-kamali sapagkat ako’y pinakinggan niya at pumayag na kami’y maging mag-kaibigan muli. Napaka-sarap maging anak nang Diyos at napakasarap magkaroon nang relasyon sa kanya. Hindi niya lang tayo itinuturing bilang mga anak kundi itinuturing niya rin tayong mga kaibigan niya. Sabi ni Hesus sa kanyang salita “Itinuring ko kayong mga kaibigan, sapagkat sinabi ko sa inyo ang lahat nang narinig ko sa aking Ama.” (Juan 15:15). Dahil naging kaibigan ko nang ang anak nang Diyos na si Hesus, sa mga panahong ito’y nakakapag-bahagi na ako nang mga karanasan ko kay Hesus at gayundin naman siya sa akin, tulad nang gingawa ng mga mag-kaibigan.

Kapag nagpa-totoo tayo kay Hesus, ipagpatotoo din niya ang kabutihan nang kanyang Ama sa atin. Sabi nga sa kanyang salita, “Lumapit kayo sa Diyos at lalapit siya sa inyo”(Santiago 4:8). Manalangin tayo, mag-basa nang kanyang bibliya at making sa mga taong nag-papahayag nang kanyang mga salita. Sa pamamagitan nito malalaman at mararamdaman natin sa ating buhay na si Hesus ay laging nariyan sa ating tabi. Sa panahon na tayo ay nag’iisa, nalulungkot at mahinang-mahina, si Hesus ay laging nariyan naghihintay lamang na siya’y ating kausapin at anyayahan na maging kaibigan natin.

Si Hesus ay mas malapit sa atin kaysa sa ating mga kaibigan. Ang sabi niya sa bibiliya, ”May mga kaibigan na madaling lumamig, ngunit may mga mag-kakaibigan na higit pa sa kapatid”(Kawikaan 18:24). Ituring nating pinaka-matalik na kaibigan si Hesus.

“Count on him”. Makipag-kaibigan kayo kay Hesus, tanggapin niyo sa inyong mga buhay para siya’y maging inyong kaibigan, kaibigan na hinding-hindi kayo iiwan kailanman, kaibigang makakatulong sa inyong buhay na walang hinihingi na kapalit at kaibigan na ating mapagkakatiwalaan at hinding-hindi tayo mapapahamak sa kanya.

As of this moment, masasabi ko na, na si Hesus ay tunay na kaibigan. I’m a better person now, malayong-malayo sa katauhan ko noong hindi ko pa kaibigan ang anak ng Diyos.Subukan niyong kilalanin at maging kaibigan si Hesus ngayon pa lang sinasabi ko na sa inyo mga kapatid hinding-hindi kayo magsisisi, walang mawawal sa inyo.

Trust him, Jesus is waiting... Jesus wants you to be his friend... Come near him!

In our daily lives, we are blessed enough to see God's provisions in several & diverse forms and ways. In fact whenever God allows it, we get to see nearly-impossible things come to reality. What a glory! People call it miracle.

Zechariah experienced one Z E C H A R I A H
