Today,ChristiansenterintothefinalstageoftheLentenSeasonleadinguptothecentralmysteryofourfaith.IwouldliketofocusourattentiontodayonaFranciscanapproachtooraFranciscanspiritualityoftheCross. Overtime,thereweretwofluctuatingwavesofinfluenceintheChurch.Duringsomeperiods,humanintellectreignedasawayofgetting toknowGod,andatother times, the focus shifted toexperiencingGod throughhumansensesandemotions.Franciscansplayedaprominentroleinbothofthesemovements.AmongthegreatphilosophersandtheologianswereSt.BonaventureandDunsScotus.TheFranciscanSchoolofThoughtwasnotidenticaltotheDominicanSchoolofThomasAquinas,orothers.Weofferedadifferentslantonthings,anuancedperspective.
