VENUS
EARTH
Venus is a beautiful planet at night. It is one of the brightest objects in the night sky. Only the moon is brighter
Fun Fact!
The ancients named Venus after the goddess of love and beauty because it is the brightest planet.
Venus is known as Earth’s twin because
they are close in size. This is and ultraviolet picture of Venus that
makes it look like Earth. But really the two are
nothing alike.
Venus is covered with clouds of toxic gas and winds as strong as a hurricane. It is also packed with lighting.
It’s hotter than Texas! The temperature can get up to 900°F.
There are many volcanoes on Venus that that make up the landscape.
Because Venus rotates so slow, a school day would last four months.
Venus rotates in a backwards direction.
