Pilchuck Camera Club Meeting Minutes

No was no meeting in June. July’s meeting is canceled.

To see images and review results: pcc.bjschwarz.com

The topic for Challenge will remain the same (we had a really small turnout). The topic is "Through the Window".

The judges were Sonya, JD and myself.

Annual Dues

Since it is likely having only a few meetings this year, the Executive Board has voted to not require dues for

this year. If you have already paid, the dues will be carried over to next year. We met quorum and all votes

were in affirmative.

End of Year Contest Results

Due to Covid19 the board decided to present the awards now rather than continue to wait for a possible

banquet. While it’s disappointing not to be able to celebrate in person, we wanted to celebrate our images

submitted for the year and will do that by posting the shows we would see at the banquet on the website and

our private Facebook group.

Here are links to the show that Steve normally produces for the banquet and Renee’s slideshow of winners.

Programs

Creative Macro Doug Goodman sent me a link to a short video on macro photography. The video is mostly about the artistic

side and a method to create droplet images – not so much on the technical side. Some interesting ideas. The

Iris droplet I submitted this month used this technique. (I used a pipette instead of needles and a tripod.)

Topaz AI Sharpening Products

Topaz has several products that can help reduce noise and sharpen an image. This is a test of three of its

products.
