I am really impressed, proud and happy for you but I am not surprised. The hardships you went through to succeed has been a source of inspiration to me. Each time dwell on my own suffering here I think of how you would have handled yours. Mine is nothing compared to yours so I use that as a standard of what my threshold for suffering should be. There are some things that I need to clear up. We as black people should stop trying to prove anything or impress the white

people. We should not do our work based on the hope of receiving their awards. We should cultivate pride and distinctions in our own established awards and We should impress and prove ourselves to ourselves and our people first. If we do not respect our own people, other people will never respect us. I believe that we as black people have been brainwashed so much to believe that we are inferior in the sense that when a black person such as yourself comes up,we have doubts until we wait for the white man to certify their efforts as genuine. We should not feel bad when our achievements are not appreciated or recognized by white people, rather we should be more concerned about our own people's perception of us. We all know(at least the informed ones know)that there are more smart black people than white people. The only thing is that their media blows their trumpets and blows their own people out of proportion while blocking out their obvious shortcomings. I believe it is an insult for you to be called the Bill Gates of Africa because He is not,was not, and will never be a mathematical genius. He was basically an opportunist who took people's ideas and used them for his own gain. That is nowhere near the definiton of a scientist. In Africa, he would just be a trader who intimidated the business competition. If you had been a white man, you probably would have been the richest man in the world and your company would be in Fortune500. Every single person on this planet would have known who you were in a few days after the media does it's thing. We as a race should never allow anyone to define us or validate us but ourselves. We should not be awed by any particular races' achievements to the point of assumed superiority or inferiority because God who created this existence knew exactly what each individual from each race is capable of doing and has given each and everyone tons of skills to use. It is now up to the individual to harness those gifts. If that individual allows a fellow "mere" human to limit his or her imagination or potential, he or she is then lost. For in this life, the people that seek to please someone whom they have no obligation to will never reach their full potential and will never be truly happy. Human beings are the most dangerous things to try to please. For a smart black person, you are usually hated more by your peers(like in Nigeria). In the case of being here, you are hated for being black and hated even more for being smarter(for crushing the stereotype of Africans and Afro-Americans). We as a race should develop ourselves and our race in view of the bigger picture. Once we start supporting and respecting our own people in all progressive professions and emulating them on a large scale, only then can we be free of having to be forced to journey to someone else's land to develop their society while they look down on us(because they know that our own people don't respect us). Once Africa and black people as a whole everywhere start uplifting black people, only then can we say yes, that if we are insulted, that we have a home (where we are respected)which we can go back to. WHY SHOULD THAT BE,...DO YOU GET THE MESSAGE? And thatz how the country is always being looted.
