ADDRESS SERVICE REQUESTED
St. John Neumann Medal
1— The Saint John Nuemann Medal shall be awarded to a person who has demonstrated exemplary service to God, Church and Country. Only one medal may be awarded per year. The eligibility of the candidate shall be determined by a vote of the Faithful Navigator and the Past Faithful Navigators in good standing with the Assembly. A proposer may NOT submit more than one nominee. 2— The proposed candidates’ resume must be submitted in writing to the Faithful Navigator. Resumes submitted by a person on his or own her behalf shall be considered ineligible and will not be forwarded to the Admiral or Past Faithful Navigators for their consideration. The Navigator will accumulate the resumes until March 1st, at which time he will submit them to the Faithful Ad-miral who will in turn distribute them to the eligible Past Faithful Navigators. The Past Faithful Navigators must submit their neg-ative or affirmative vote on the candidate(s) by April 15th of the awarding year. Regardless of the number of resumes to be acted upon, the Past Faithful can submit only one (1) affirmative vote, however, all votes may be negative. Ballots and resumes for all candidates for the Saint John Neumann Medal shall be mailed to the Past Faithful Navigators and Faithful Navigator, to be re-turned by mail to the Faithful Admiral by April 15th. A simple majority of returned votes shall determine the recipient. A vote shall be cast for ONE (1) or NONE (0). It shall be understood that the Faithful Navigator has a vote. In order to maintain anonymity, it shall not be required that the Ballot be signed. The ballots, when returned to the Faithful Ad-miral in an envelope marked “BALLOT”, shall remain sealed until a meeting is called, prior to the June Conclave, at which time the ballots will be reviewed jointly by the Faithful Navigator and the Faithful Admiral. 3—The Medal shall be presented to the selected candidate as close to the anniversary date of Saint John Neumann’s canoniza-tion date (June 19) as possible, preferably at the beginning of the June Assembly meeting. The Medal will be presented by the Faithful Navigator. In his absence, the order of succession of presiding officers will be observed.
Nominations of candidates for the St. John Neumann Medal: The nominee does not have to be a member of the Assembly, a Knight of Columbus, nor a member of the Clergy. Associated assembly GKs will be contacted separately for nominations.

PRO-LIFE UPDATE
by Ed Markowski, PGK, PFN
Within a matter of days, we will be electing the President of the United States. Many voters don’t like either candidate, and may be tempted to stay home and not vote. However we must realize that the results of this election will affect
our Country for many, many years, and particularly Pro-Life matters.
Where do the Presidential Candidates stand on Pro-Life Is-sues? There are significant differences in their positions,
and I will list them here for your consideration.
Donald Trump supports a ban on late-term abortions, while Hillary Clinton actually voted against the Partial-Birth Abor-tion Ban Act, which would have stopped the killing of fully-
developed, living babies in the womb, just before birth.
Trump supports a ban on taxpayer funding of abortions, and on tax funds for organizations, such as Planned Parenthood, that perform abortions. Clinton opposes any ban on taxpay-
er funding of abortion providers.
Trump believes that the Roe v. Wade decision should be reversed. Clinton supports the Roe v. Wade decision which
allows abortion for any reason at any time.
Trump has indicated that he would appoint Justices to the Supreme Court who would strictly interpret the Constitu-
tion, and not use the bench to legislate. Clinton would only appoint pro-abortion Justices to the Supreme Court.
Clinton also opposes protecting Catholic institutions, such as the Little Sisters of the Poor, from being forced to pay for
abortions, and she opposes protecting the lives of children who survive an attempted abortion.
Please give careful consideration to these major differences in the candidates’ positions on pro-Life issues before you
vote. Thank you.
As always, I urge you to pray that all of our elected repre-sentatives will somehow be enlightened, as St. Paul was
when he was struck by the light of God, and will reconsider their previous support of abortion in America. And may God continue to bless the United States of America, one nation
UNDER GOD, with liberty and justice for all!

Special Note
As you read this newsletter you may have noticed that it does not contain the usual message from our Faithful Navi-gator, Robert Watson. Brother Robert is struggling with a health situation, that we pray, is only temporary. It would be deeply appreciated if you would remember Robert and his wife Carol in your daily prayers.
In the meantime, the Faithful Navigator can rely on the support of the Officers and Past Faithful Navigators to con-tinue the programs of the Assembly, that he has outlined; until such a time as he may return.
Thank you.
Fraternally,
Matt Kresz, PFN Editor
