new address, maybe you want to become a new member of Finley Lutheran Parish, or you

have transferred to a new church. Please cut out the form and update if you have any new or

changed information so we can ensure everything reaches you in a timely manner.

We had an appreciation joint service in

was given a quilt made by Christine

Paulsen with a picture of each church on

the back of it. A potluck fellowship was

shared after church to thank Pastor Russ May 8th at Ostervold May 26th at Finley

Vacation Bible School 2016 was held May 31st, June 1st, and June 2nd with a program the last night. We had

40 kids attend this year. Lots of great volunteers that did an amazing job with the kids! Thanks to Angie Jerstad

and Lori Mehus for organizing a great VBS for the kids. Thanks to Sherry Bakke for doing music and Pastor

Russ and Pastor Flaten for helping with opening and closing worship. THANK YOU to everyone who helped

and came to the program. The kids did an amazing job! We will see you next year at Vacation Bible School!

Hunger exists in North Dakota. But so does the solution!

Finley Motors, and other members of the Automobile Dealers Association of

North Dakota, is excited to announce our partnership with the Great Plains Food

Bank on the Million Meals Drive. This is a drive like no others! Join us in the fight

to end hunger and feed hope. We are asking the support of the communities to

consider donating towards the Steele County Food pantry. Drop off sites are

located in Mic’s Grocery, Finley and Finley Motors. Thank you in advance for

helping feed hunger.

Automobile Dealers Association of North Dakota partners

with Great Plains Food Bank for Million Meals Drive June 4, 2016 – Two statewide organizations are teaming up to address hunger in North Dakota

in a first-of-its-kind event. The Automobile Dealers Association of North Dakota and the Great

Plains Food Bank have a goal of collecting food and funds to provide an additional 1,000,000

more meals to people in need of emergency food assistance across North Dakota through the

Million Meals Drive.

“Hunger exists in North Dakota, but so does the solution,” says Karl Christian, Finley, who

currently serves as Chairman of the Automobile Dealers Association of North Dakota.

“Participating ADAND member dealers are committing both time and resources to this

important effort. We believe, that together with the Great Plains Food Bank, we will meet our

goal by summer’s end.”

The Millions Meals Drive kicks off in June and runs through August at dealerships statewide.

Participating dealers will make a financial gift, volunteer their time and/or collect

nonperishable food items as part of their commitment to the Million Meals Drive.

“Our mission is to end hunger through community partnerships,” says Steve Sellent, CEO for

the Great Plains Food Bank. “This partnership with the ADAND is a great fit. Auto dealerships

tend to be cornerstone businesses in their communities, uniquely positioned to bring attention

and support to the fight to end hunger in the areas they serve.”

Sellent says hunger across our state is a bigger issue than many North Dakotans realize.

“1 in 9 North Dakotans seek emergency food assistance from the Great Plains Food Bank and

our partner network each year,” he says. “The Million Meals Drive will make a meaningful

difference in the lives of children who are currently going to bed without dinner, seniors who

must choose between medicine and groceries, and working parents who skip a meal so their

children can eat.”
