PRAYER CORNER !

God of peace, whose word is good news to the oppressed,

healing for the brokenhearted and freedom for all who are

held bound, gladden our hearts and fashion the earth into

a garden of righteousness and praise!!

Sanctify us entirely, in spirit, soul and body, for the

coming of the One who even now is among us, your Son,

our Lord Jesus Christ, who was, who is and who is to

come, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the

unity of the Holy Spirit, God for ever and ever.!

“For a stalk to grow or a flower to open there must be

time that cannot be forced; nine months must go by for

the birth of a human child; to write a book or compose

music often years must be dedicated to patient research.

To find the mystery there must be patience, interior

purification, silence, waiting…”! ! ! !

Third Sunday of Advent: Preparing a Highway for Our God!During the Advent Season scripture accentuates the great promises of the Lord for His people. In the Prophet Isaiah, for example, we find encouragement in the following words: “Give comfort to my people, says your God. Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and proclaim to her that here service is at an end” (Isaiah 40:1!2). We can build a future on such a promise, since God assures us that the present difficulties and sorrows and burdens are not the end. The promises of the Lord give us reason to hope.

The Lord asks only that we might prepare a way for him in our lives. He asks that we might make straight in our desert a highway for the Lord. We are asked to clean up any mess that we may have created in our lives. We are asked to confess our sins that we may be forgiven and so that God’s work may begin.

Tomorrow, Monday, December 18th, at St. Charles Borromeo and at Resurrection the Sacrament of Reconciliation is offered to all who confess their sins. At St. Charles Borromeo priests will be available for confessions in English following he 8:30am Mass for 1 hour and from 4pm to 8pm in the Church. At Resurrection a priest will hear confession from 7pm to 8:30pm. May God be able to travel unimpeded in your life.

LECTURAS, REFLEXIONES Y ORACIONES!

~ FR. GREGORY CHISHOLM, SJ. ~!

ATENCIÓN A TODOS LOS PARROQUIANOS!!

FOCUS!

REFLEJO!

! ! ! ! ! Pope John Paul II!

PRIMERA LECTURA !
