The Priests and Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion will bring communion to anyone unable to attend Mass. Please call the rectory office at 610-532-8081 to make these arrangements.

OUR LADY OF ANGELS CATHOLIC SCHOOL Please continue to keep everyone impacted by the devastating OLA School fire: students, parents, faculty, staff, principal, and the priests in your pray-ers. I visited OLPH the day after the fire and have spoken to Msgr. Savinski offering any help he may need. As I mentioned last week, Mrs Pileggi, our principal, and I, were very happy to be able to welcome the OLPH Summer Day Camp to our ND campus. I know, Msgr. Savinski is very grateful that his parish's campers have a place to hold their summer program. And we are so glad we are able to be of some help to our neighbors in their time of need.

ND REGISTRATION HEADED IN RIGHT DI-

RECTION

This past week, we reached the 200 mark for registration at Notre Dame Parochial School - that's great news. And indications are, that number is going to continue to increase as we get closer to the opening of school.

WE’RE NOT PERMITTED TO REGISTER

OLA STUDENTS

We have also been contacted by some of the parents of Our Lady of the Angels School who'd like to register their children in our school because some parents for various reasons do not want their children to attend school for the year at Cardinal O'Hara HS while the OLA School building is re-built. Our hands are tied, however. The day after the fire, we received an email directive from the leaders of the Archdiocese's Office of Catholic Education clearly stating that no other catholic school is permitted to register current students of OLA Regional School. The reason offered for the directive is to keep the OLA Regional School community together during this time when they'll be re-building.

Father Devlin

Pastor’s Column...

PRAYER FOR PRIESTS Lord God, most holy, we approach you in gratitude for your holy ordained priesthood. You have called these men to be set apart and to shepherd your people, as you shepherd your entire church. We pray for them in their daily work. Grant to them an increase in spiritual gifts and grace, so they may be prepared for the tasks at hand. Lead them not into temptation and protect them from the grasp of the evil one. It is through the sacraments they confer that we encounter the divine in a real and profound way. May your church never lose sight of these, your special sons, and may we, the body of Christ, never fail to cherish the gift of their lives, which they have freely given to you and your holy church. We ask this in the name of Jesus, your Son.

2019 MASS BOOK The Mass book for 2019 is now open. Anyone that would like to schedule Masses for next year is asked to please call the rectory 610-532-8081 or you may send an email to [email protected] listing the dates with in-tentions and someone from the office will contact you.

Schedule Changes SUNDAY 5:30 PM MASS AT ST. MADELINE’S Beginning on July 1, 2018, the Sunday 5:30PM Mass will be at St. Madeline’s for the next 2 years. We share this Sunday ministry with Our Lady of Peace Parish. We look forward to sharing lectors, Eucharistic ministers and anyone who can help from both parishes. Spread the good news that a Sunday evening Mass will now be at St. Madeline’s. All are welcome. Requests for 5:30 PM Mass Intentions can be made by calling St. Madeline’s office at 610-532-6880. BENEDICTION For the rest of the summer, BENEDICTION on Mondays WILL NOW TAKE PLACE @ 3:30 PM AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE DIVINE MERCY CHAPLET. Since many people are away or off their usual schedules, finding enough people for adoration on Mondays during the summer has been a challenge. Leaving the ex-posed Blessed Sacrament unattended in an opened Church is not proper. And since the A/C in Church is running all day on Mondays until after 7:30 PM, it is also not good stewardship of the parish's resources. We apologize for any inconvenience. We'll re-visit this schedule in the Fall. Thank you. DEACON’S ATTIC (OLP) - RELIGIOUS STORE The thrift shop will be CLOSED for the month of July and August. Will re-open again in September. ASSUMPTION OF MARY - HOLY DAY OF OBLIGATION Wednesday, August 15th is a Holy day of Obligation, Mass times are: OLP Church - 8:30am and NDDL Church – 6:30pm. The Rectory office will be closed.

PRAYER FOR THE RETURN OF NON-PRACTICING CATHOLICS

O Good Shepherd, You never cease to seek out the lost, to call home the stray, comfort the

frightened, and to bind up the wounded. I ask you to bring all our fallen away brothers

and sisters back to the practice of the Faith, and to remove all obstacles that prevent them

from receiving your abundant mercy, which flows sacramentally through the heart of the Church.

Make Your power known to them today in every situation. Through the intercession of Mary,

Mother of God, their Guardian Angels, their Patron Saints and the ever-prayerful St. Monica, may you

pardon their sins and unshackle them from whatever hinders their freedom to come Home.

For You O Good Shepherd, have loved us to the end offered yourself to the Father for the salvation of all.

Amen.

Prayers for the return of a non-practicing Catholic also should be accompanied by sacrificial and private acts of fasting, and almsgiving in their name.
