As pandemic restrictions are lifted, there will be more Scrip hours.
Many thanks to all who contributed a casserole to St. John's Hospice this month. Your blessed efforts yielded 24 trays that will feed over 150 homeless men their only hot meal of the day. The next drop-off weekend is June 13-14. Pans and lids are always available in the lower cabinet to the right of the freezer. For further information, please contact Suzanne Kuhn, 215-355-5846, [email protected]
Due to COVID-19 concerns, Aid For Friends/Caring For Friends is unable to accept pizza slices in the church freezer until further notice. Thank you for thinking of the poor and needy. Any ques-tions, please contact Suzanne Kuhn at 215-355-5846 or [email protected]
As you know, Church expenses do not stop in these troubled times. Thank you to all who have either dropped off or mailed in your weekly donations whenever you are able. It is greatly appreciated!

CARNIVAL UPDATE
THE CARNIVAL STATUS IS “POSTPONED.”
At this point in time we need to recog-nize that a June, 2020 carnival (as we know it) will not be possible. Discus-sions are currently ongoing to determine what we CAN do sometime later in 2020. PLEASE be aware that we are still going to have a “different type raffle” this spring. Details are being finalized and will be mailed to you in the next few weeks. It is important that as a parish we con-tinue to pray for each other.
May God bless all of you and please
stay safe and healthy.
When Should You Make an
Act of Spiritual Communion?
The most common occasion for making an Act of Spiritu-
al Communion is when we cannot fulfill our obligation to
attend Mass on a Sunday or Holy Day of Obligation,
whether because of illness or bad weather, or some other
reason outside of our control. You can make an Acts of
Spiritual Communion at any time and make multiple
times a day—even on days when we have been able to
receive the Eucharist. Each Act of Spiritual Communion
that we make increases our desire to receive sacramental
Communion, and protects us until we can receive Holy
Communion sacramentally again.
ACT OF SPIRITUAL COMMUNION
(St. Alphonsus Ligouri)
MY JESUS, I BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE PRESENT IN
THE MOST HOLY SACRAMENT. I LOVE YOU
ABOVE ALL THINGS, AND I DESIRE TO RECEIVE
YOU INTO MY SOUL. SINCE I CANNOT AT THIS
MOMENT RECEIVE YOU SACRAMENTALLY,
COME AT LEAST SPIRITUALLY INTO MY HEART.
I EMBRACE YOU AS IF YOU WERE ALREADY
THERE AND UNITE MYSELF WHOLLY TO YOU.
NEVER PERMIT ME TO BE SEPARATED FROM
YOU. AMEN.
CYO NEWS SAVE THE DATE! Friday, October 2
nd for the 29th Annual CYO Golf Outing at Five Ponds Golf Club!
OLGC CYO is affiliated with the United Way. If you would like to contribute to our program per-sonally, or through your employer, our Donor Choice number is 7984. Contributions directly support the children of the parish and help offset our program costs. Any contribution is greatly appreciated.
We are looking for new members for our CYO Board to help coordinate our multiple sports pro-grams, social activities, scholarships, website updates, and marketing/communications. You do not have to coach to be on the CYO Board. The success of our programs is solely dependent on our volunteers. Please email [email protected] if interested.
THANK YOU OLGC! As you know hard times are here for many. You donated 1300 lbs. of food to JFM pantry in April! We are doing our best to keep the pantry open. The pantry usually services about 1100 per month. Now its 2100! You also generously donated 8661.00 in cash and checks .This total re-flects 2341.00 collected in Jan. A parishioner matched this amount as was done last year and the persons’ employer matched it again. St John Bosco and JFM shared these funds 25/75. Please keep up the good work! Your kindness and living out the Gospel is a credit to all of you and the parish. We continue to deliver from the Giant and any food you leave in the church...God Bless you all and your families. Please stay safe and keep the Faith! Steve Hall, Food Club
