This list replaces & supersedes all previous lists. All orders are filled in the order in which they are received and are subject to prior sale.

Prices are listed in US Dollars

OF SPECIAL NOTE: We have now added a new section to show some of our first-bloom One-of-a-Kind novelty seedlings (not

mericlones), many of which are from Dragon Tree Eagle breeding lines that we’ve purchased from some of the cutting-edge breeding programs in Taiwan. These are available on a First Come-First Serve basis ~ and each photo is of the actual

seedling being offered.

We’ve also expanded our collection of miniature Vandaceous, miniature Dendrobiums & divisions of some of our select

Paphs ~ all of which grow & flower happily with our Phals. Each genus is put into their own category after our Phal. listings.

Most plants are in 2.7” pots as first or second bloomers unless otherwise noted as being fully mature in 4” pots

PLEASE NOTE: Stock quantities of 6 or fewer are noted in parens

ORDERING INFORMATION FOR OUR MAIL ORDER CLIENTS: In the winter or during inclement weather, shipments may be delayed pending more moderate weather conditions. Shipping is either

via FedEx Ground or Air depending on final destination. We reserve the right to withdraw any offering from sale and to limit quantities. We guarantee all plants to be true to identity to the best of our knowledge. However, since many come in from Taiwan, we have to

assume they are properly labeled as to their species or hybrid name. We make no warranty as to the productiveness of any plants sold since culture conditions vary widely.

Although we do our utmost to pack carefully, we are not responsible for damage to buds or flowers due to shipping if buyer specifically requests these plants ~ therefore, risk is assumed by buyer for buds or flowers on plants shipped at this stage

Safe arrival of a healthy orchid plant is guaranteed.

Phal. bellina fma. alba

(Sib Cross of FRAGRANT Species)

Rarely available but thanks to our annual trip to Taiwan, we were able to obtain a

few seedlings from this newest sib cross of two alba clones ! These plants are just now reaching flowering size, being very slow to make it to maturity, and we’re

expecting a much improved strain of this alba form of the species resulting from select sibbings and selfings created by

PHOTO NAME & DESCRIPTION SIZE PRICE this Taiwan nursery. Many will show a

soft green picotee or tip on its segments. These plants will most likely spike up &

flower for the first time this summer, producing just 1-2 flowers initially.

However, if the spike remains green, do not remove it as it will add more buds in addition to producing additional spikes.

FRAGRANT !

ONE-OF-A-KIND SEEDLINGS !

Phal. bellina fma. coerulea

(Sib Cross of FRAGRANT Species)

The fragrant & beautiful Phal. bellina in a new color form ! Typically, Phal. bellina has a central pink blush/flush on all its segments ~ however, this strain has a more coerulean blue to lavender flush which, along with its deep lavender lip, makes quite a statement. This species

tends to continue to flower again on older inflorescences in addition to producing new so don’t remove them unless they

turn yellow. We’re guessing this group is about a year to flowering & yet we’ve

seen a couple spike up already showing their increased vigor as a sib cross ~

they sold immediately !

Phal. celebensis

(Sib Cross of Species)

Endemic to Sulawesi, this miniature species has beautifully mottled silvery

grey-green leaves making it an attractive addition to any collection, even when not

in flower ! Usually flowering from late summer to early fall, its tall

inflorescences can literally be covered with successively opening semi-peloric

flowers, all presented on a gracefully cascading display. This particular

Phalaenopsis species is one of the few that does better in shade & kept moist

year ‘round. Not often available & a really unique little treasure !

Phal. cornu-cervi fma. alba ’Peloric’

(Peloric 3-lip form of Species)

A perfect 3-lip clone of the alba form of this popular fragrant species ! The result

of a clonal shift, these have all been flowered to assure they are true to the mother plant without reverting back to

the regular alba form. Beautifully flattened inflorescences will produce long-lasting waxy & full form fragrant

yellow-green flowers on & off throughout the year. Cooler temperatures & brighter light in fall/winter produce the lime green

segments as in the photo. Summer flowers tend to be more yellow in their

sepal color. In addition to producing new spikes each year, previously flowered spikes remain green & continue to add additional buds and branches off & on

year ‘round !

Phal. javanica

(Species: ‘Montclair’ x self)

Not often available, this strain is the result of a selfing of an extremely good

form of this species ! Very compact pendulous spikes produce small flowers

cascading over or between compact round leaves. Again, we’ve found this

species does better in our greenhouses when grown a little cooler & shadier at a

lower bench level. And for its best flowering display, many growers mount

this species.

Phal. pulcherrima ‘Royal Fuchsia’ (4N)

(SELECT CLONE of Species)

Glowing fuchsia flowers grace this particular tetraploid clone of Phal. pulcherrima ! With its fabulously

compact leaves & growth habit, this species can readily form basal keikis, in time producing a specimen plant for the most dramatic display. An easy grower

which is temperature tolerant, this tetraploid form is producing more

vigorous growth with longer lasting flowers !

Phal. speciosa

(Species sib cross: ‘Purple’ x ‘Dark’)

This sib cross was created using the two solid color forms shown on the left, both of them being progeny from a sibbing of the clone ‘C#1’. The intense red-purple

color from ‘C#1’ is spread out over all the segments of their flowers creating a

stunning solid colored flower. Since this is a sib cross & not a mericlone, we

cannot guarantee that every seedling will flower solid ~ some may take after ‘C#1’ (which is also a sensational flower) with the rest being more heavily marked or totally solid like their parents. A great reason to flower more than just one !

A sib-cross of this fragrant species coming from two dark indigo parents from the breeding lines of HP Norton combined with those of Krull Smith !

These have been vigorous growers and might very well make their first spikes

within the coming year. As a sib cross, there will be some variation in the

intensity of blue from one seedling to the next.

MULTIFLORAL MINIATURES, COMPACT-GROWING BRIGHTLY COLORED NOVELTIES & EVEN

SOME LARGER-FLOWERING STUNNERS:

Again, most of these clones are the result of the excellent Taiwanese breeding programs.

Many of the plants below were hand-picked from select nurseries over the last several years on our annual trips to Taiwan.

PLEASE NOTE: With many of the harlequins & the red or orange novelties, differences in light & temperature at various times

of the year will cause some variation to occur in the flower color and/or intensity of their markings. Under warmer temperatures & more shaded conditions in the summer, many red hybrids with yellow or orange in their breeding background

will flower showing more of those colors. Under cooler temperatures & brighter light in the fall to winter months, the red pigment in the flowers is more strongly expressed resulting in solid red flowers.

Also, many of the Phal. bellina and/or violacea-influenced novelties improve in color intensity,

size and fuller form on their 2nd

& 3rd

flowerings, as do the actual species themselves.

Phal. Chiada Hebe ’AAM1023A’

(I-Hsin Sesame x I-Hsin Canary)

A unique new color form of this great

multi-floral mini ! Quite unlike what we expected, this clone has produced wonderfully round 2” creamy white,

heavy substance, flowers marked with fine spotting on their lateral sepals,

reminiscent of a larger rounder Phal. stuartiana. Their heavy substance comes

from their novelty harlequin-influenced parents, leading to a long-lasting display,

with their amazing floriferousness an added and pleasant surprise. Great

upright leaf habit & compact vigorously branching spikes are in perfect

proportion to each other. Great for limited space or under-lights culture.

Just about as charming as a mini Phal can be !

Phal. Fuller’s Gold Stripe ’OX1560’

An especially charming clone of this

multi-floral miniature ! Unlike the other commonly available clones of this same

hybrid, this particular clone produces extremely round well-balanced flowers on

very compact branching spikes – its striping and red lip are also much more vivid and well-defined than other clones

of the same – its presentation is beautifully set off by a central white flush while its flower size takes after the multi-

mini parent. These heavy substance flowers lead us to wonder if they’re 4N –

and their heavier substance means a longer-lasting display. If we could only grow one clone of Fuller’s Gold Stripes,

this would be it !

already producing 5+ buds on compact spikes over equally compact leaf spans. The mother plant we saw at the nursery

was fully mature in a 4” pot with two branching spikes of long-lasting flowers. This little hybrid is a great step forward from Phal. Sogo Golden, one of our all-time favorites ! (PS: We forgot to smell the flowers so can’t tell you if they took on the fragrance of the parents or not ~

Phal. OX Golden Lottery ‘OX1665’ FCC/AOS

(OX Lottery x OX Golden Star)

When we awarded this clone of OX Golden Lottery two years ago at the

Taiwan Show, it was the most outrageous splash-petal yellow we had ever seen !

And that still holds true today ~ we have yet to see this kind of breeding produce anything even close to this. Producing flowers almost 4” in size, when awarded

it was showing off with 34 superbly formed & sparkling non-fading flowers on

two branching inflorescences. In addition to receiving the highly coveted

FCC/AOS, it also was awarded by the IPA as Best Phalaenopsis in Show from over

500 entries !

SPECIAL NOTE ON THIS CLONE:

The first group of these that we brought in flowered as OX Lottery ‘OX1525’ so we contacted OX about this. We were told

that they discovered those first run clones had all reverted to the OX Lottery parent & suggested that we flower our second shipment, made from a second cloning in order to stabilize the results (only about a 30% success rate on that run). So far we have flowered just a few that are this actual OX Golden Lottery ‘OX1665’ with many more to flower out

first before assuring everyone they would flower true. Once these seedlings are

fully mature & are flowered under cooler brighter winter conditions, their splash

patterning will become much more intense, just like the awarded plant which flowered in Taiwan in the cooler brighter

months of winter.

This multi-floral mini harlequin hybrid is so new, having just been produced as a test run by OX Nurseries, that they just

released its name to me on our recent trip to Taiwan ! Despite that small obstacle of only having a clonal number last year, we decided to order some knowing that they would share its name with us as soon as it was registered. A vigorous brancher,

we were totally taken with its harlequin & splash petal patterning on a smaller

6.8cm flower, creating quite an abundant presentation. Its candy stripe pod parent was emboldened by OX Black Jack, the

harlequin parent, resulting in a great mix of harlequin and splash accents. And its degree of harlequin markings does vary according to light & temperature with the

boldest patterning occurring under cooler & brighter conditions.

FIRST BLOOM ONE-OF-A-KIND NOVELTY SEEDLINGS (all are in 2.7” pots):

All of our novelty or select seedlings flowered for the first time for us this past summer ~ and with Phal. bellina in the background of many, as first bloomers they will initially produce only 1-3 flowers on their first spikes. For this line of

breeding we leave any still-green spikes on the plants since they will most likely add more buds to these spikes in addition to producing new spikes at their next flowering. Some people choose to remove the initial spikes & give the energy back to the plant. However, we’ve never noticed (with this line of novelty-type breeding) that it doesn’t make much, if any, difference in

the overall vigor of the plant since their breeding background carries the tendency to retain older spikes. Also, with this kind of breeding, flower form, color and size improve enormously with their 2

nd & 3

rd flowerings. But ~ the real bonus to owning a

One-of-a-Kind plant is that you can give it your own clonal name !

FRAGRANT MINIATURE CHINESE CYMBIDIUMS:

All the species listed below grow & flower easily WITH our Phals under the same light & WARMER temperature

conditions since they are miniature growing Chinese species, requiring much lower light, less space & will grow under warmer temperatures than their larger cousins ~ they also don’t require the extreme chill of standard Cymbidiums in order to make their flower spikes and all tend to flower more than once a year, having no definite flowering season. One of these clones is just 6” in height – perfect for windowsill & under-lights growing !

We are particularly fond of the green & yellow flowering varieties with either delightfully compact or elegantly tall flower spikes. We’ve found that the traditional pale pink-burgundy colored flowers are just too muddy to stand out and make a statement.

The clone ‘Tian Cao’ also has the added charm of VARIEGATED FOLIAGE, meaning it’s attractive, even when not in flower ! Variegated foliage comes at a higher price because it’s greatly prized in Japanese & Chinese cultures, meaning the stronger the variegation, the more expensive the clone.

Ascf. Moonlight Firefly #10 One-of-a-Kind Select Seedling

(Neof. falcata x Ascf. Twinkle)

Carrying the great look, wonderful fragrance & graceful charm of Neof.

falcata, this hybrid is a much easier plant to grow thanks to the hybrid vigor of its

pollen parent ! The bulk of this population has flowered pale yellow ~ so it’s rare when we have one flower out just

like a great Neof. falcata. This is just a first bloomer with a single fan but as it

grows up, it will readily produce multitudes of kekis around the base of the mother plant, putting on quite the

show !

point from spring through the fall on short 4-6” spikes bearing multitudes of

its rich rose-pink flowers. Makes quite a charming display which is amazingly

Easily grown & flowered under Phal

multitudes of waxy long-lasting flowers in late winter, beginning its new pseudobulb

need to withhold water during its leafless stage since the pseudobulbs are still

growing & photosynthesizing for future growths ~ we lightly water the surface of their medium all winter & resume normal drenching at the onset of new growth in the spring. In addition, the arrangement

of the flowers is perfection as opposed to similar “black” hybrids where the flowers

simply don’t open well and arrange themselves on the spike properly. These plants are now just completing their new

growths in preparation for early fall flowering.

Two important Plus Factors to this hybrid: It’s a vigorous grower ~ and it doesn’t shoot its pollen when jarred or moved. We showed our exhibit plant of this clone in three different shows last winter with no loss of pollen despite all

about 1 ¼”. These plants are also benefitting from great hybrid vigor as a

result of the mating of two species. Like our comments below on growing

Habenaria rhodocheila, we follow the same culture for this little hybrid – and it, too, loves growing in New Zealand Moss !

Not available for the last two years, we were recently fortunate enough to obtain

a few more from Taiwan.

Being seedlings, not mericlones, there will be slight variation from one seedling

to the next. But all have flowered this beautiful salmon-pink!

Habenaria rhodocheila

(Species)

We have been amazed at how easy to grow this Habenaria species has been ! Even when not in flower, their foliage is beautifully marked. We’ve found that if we keep them just slightly moist with a light spritzing, not wet, when they go deciduous, they produce their spring growths readily. Allowing them to dry totally will most likely cause their loss over the winter – we know, we used to

follow the culture sheets & did just that – and they never came back ! We’ve also discovered that trying to grow them in a bark mix is more than challenging, so

we’ve switched to growing them in moss. This population has been extremely

vigorous & is well worth adding to every collection. Plus, despite our initial

doubts, they LOVE growing in the New Zealand moss ! We’ve been amazed at

how really easy Habenarias are to grow & flower – just don’t follow any of the

culture sheets & you’ll do great !

Being seedlings, not mericlones, there will be some variation from one seedling

to the next.

Habenaria xanthocheila

(Species)

Another great Habenaria species bearing glowing bright yellow flowers ! These are small growing terrestrials with coral-like

roots. In Malaysia they are found growing exposed on granite boulders. Produces

beautiful erect inflorescences earlier than many other Habenaria species. Also, unlike other Habenarias, this species appears to have little serrations on its

flower segments which add to its charm.

Lagerara Angel Baby ‘Peppermint Stick’

(Onc. Angel Island x Aspasia Tight Jeans)

Although we were challenged trying to grow & flower Odonts, this great new

hybrid is quite happy growing with our Phalaenopsis ~ so we can now enjoy its

Odontoglossum-type flowers on a warmer growing plant ! Great well-defined red-

burgundy barring/blotching marks all its segments, its large flowers beautifully

presented on the spike & complete with a great ruffled lip. Compact grower for this

type of breeding so it won’t take over

your bench ! (NOTE: Aspasia is a small genus of just 7 species related to Miltonia

& Brassia).

Onc. (Gomesa) Moon Shadow

’Tiger Tail’ AM/AOS

(Cytocidium Hornet x Big Bee)

We’ve always loved the brilliant yellow flowers of Onc. (Gomesa) varicosa,

especially with its boldly contrasting deep chocolate petals ! However, under our growing conditions that particular species never did well at all. This little hybrid has lots of Onc. varicosa in its

breeding background, yet it is so much easier to grow & flower under our

Phalaenopsis conditions. Vigorously branching spikes over miniature growths

make this clone a sure winner !

Pot. Young-Min Orange

’Golden Satisfaction’ AM/AOS

(Viola Nuggett x Lc. Trick or Treat)

This spectacular clone of Pot. Young-Min Orange knocked all the AOS judges out with its amazingly floriferous display at the Taiwan International Orchid Show in

2010 & again this year. It was awarded in 2010 with over 150 flowers and buds

borne on 20 inflorescences, a display of vivid fiery orange, capable of producing 7+ flowers per spike when fully mature.

This year, when exhibited again in Taiwan at the show, it had virtually doubled in

size ! These vigorous plants can flower twice a year with long-lasting lightly

FRAGRANT flowers, their orange

intensifying as the flower matures. Grows & flowers happily under

Phalaenopsis conditions !

Zygo. Advance Australia

’HOF’ AM/AOS

(Titanic x Helen-Ku)

We received an AM/AOS on this clone a few years ago & still feel it’s the best

FRAGRANT Zygo around – a very easy

and extremely compact grower, quite unlike most Zygopetalums available

today which tend to really spread out & take over your growing space ! The waxy green sepals & petals are almost totally covered with chocolate brown blotches, and its broad lip is heavily overlaid with vivid purple right out to the narrow white picotee, a vast improvement over other Zygopetalum hybrids. These were first

bloomers & produced 3-4 flowers on their first spikes. As each plant matures,

expect to see up to two spikes per each new growth and flowering more than

once a year ~ multiple newly emerging growths only add to its delightfully

fragrant bouquet ! A vigorous grower for this kind of breeding, it thrives when

grown in New Zealand moss. Its heavy chocolate barring only varies with the

light and temperature conditions (cooler & brighter versus warmer & shadier)

when the spikes are forming. The absolute best of all Zygos. for its solid

purple lip, rich rich color, full flat segments, delightful fragrance & great

compact growth habit !
