the optimal solution

Valladolid, June 2014

Dear Doctors,

We are pleased to introduce our new MTA Catalogue 2014.

Established in Valladolid (Spain) in 1996, Mozo-Grau was created to offer a service by developing, researching, designing and launching new reliable products and solutions for the field of implantological oral surgery, based on the experience of respected professionals.

Quality, innovation, and science are among the fundamental bases on which Mozo Grau sets its activities. Mozo Grau has been audited and certified to be in conformance with local, European and international standards. Its high quality standards demand parts to be produced with specifications accurate to within 10 microns (0.01 mm) and 100% verification of the parts manufactured to pass through a series of rigorous tests before shipping.

As evicence of what science means to Mozo-Grau is our Scientific Summary which gathers over 50 scientific articles on experimental and clinical studies, and a collection of selected clinical cases performed with Mozo Grau dental implants. The best guarantee of Mozo-Grau quality and constant improvement is the research team´s trust and confidence. As for innovation, Mozo Grau is focused in increasing the added value of its production and quality. In this regard, Mozo Grau has launched MG Código Explorer®, a unique numeric code which identifies every single MG dental implant. This code allows doctor and patient to have full traceability and knowledge of the implant. Patients receive their Código Explorer® on a MG Implant Card®, a very comfortable form to carry information everywhere.

Moreover, Mozo Grau has shown its commitment with innovation by designing and developing a new product, the MTA® abutment. This new breakthrough embodies a precise, versatile and functional optimal solution. Detailed information about MTA® will be given in this catalogue.

A SOLID BASE: OVER 50 SCIENTIFIC STUDIES AND ARTICLES

MG-InHex®

MICROLEAKAGE OF THE PROSTHETIC ABUTMENT/IMPLANT INTERFACE WITH INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL CONNECTION: IN VITRO STUDY

Carlos Larrucea Verdugo et al. University of Talca, Chile.

Publication: Clinical Oral Implant Research. Article first published online 4 July 2013

Conclusion: “…..the lower levels of microleakage occur in 30N tightened abutments, where, as shown in the photomicrographs, the gap is virtually nonexistent for Morse taper connections and external connections get an almost perfect seal. This may be due to the strict manufacturing criteria found in the analysed elements.”

INFLUENCE OF IMPLANT NECK DESIGN AND IMPLANT-ABUTMENT CONNECTION TYPE ON PERI-IMPLANT HEALTH. RADIOLOGICAL STUDY

Miguel Peñarrocha Diago et al. University of Valencia, Spain.

Publication: Clinical Oral Implant Research. Vol. 24, Issue 11, pages 1192-1200, November 2013

Conclusion: “…..Global mean marginal bone loss with Osseous® was 0.27 ± 0.43 mm and 0.38 ± 0.51 mm as determined 6 and 12 months after prosthetic loading, respectively, whereas in the case of Inhex® was 0.07 ± 0.13 and 0.12 ± 0.17 mm….. Anyway, in both groups, the value obtained were within normal ranges described in the literature”

A standard drilling sequence will be needed and the 3.3 mm drill will be the final one to be used

(recommended drilling speed: 800-1000 rpm). It is suggested to use the profile drill at 800 rpm. Being the

implant self-tapping, on very cortical bones (symphysis area) it is recommended to use the drills for hard

bones, and, if considered necessary, use the 3.75 mm bone tap to avoid overheating the bone and to

facilitate the implant insertion.

The use of copious internal irrigation is suggested, too.

It is recommended to place the implants at torque values between 35-45 Ncm.
