    Fuelled by the rising purchasing power of globalconsumers, the sporting goods industry is expected to maintain a robust growth trend as more and more people appreciate the health, beauty and leisure benefits of physical activities with more women and childrennowadays taking part in sports.

    According to Statista, the global revenue in the "sports & outdoor" segment amounts to US$66,867 million in 2019. With an annual growth rate of 7.5%, it is expected to reach a market volume of US$89,182 million by 2023.

    With a strong track record of almost three decades, the HONG KONG OCTOBER SHOW SERIES has established itself as the most important showcase and sourcing hub for Made-in-Asia products in Hong Kong every October since its debut in 1992.

    The 2019 OCTOBER SHOW SERIES Phase 1 gathered 3,053 exhibitors from Asia and around the world in ����� booths andattracted ����� ready-to-buy trade buyers from 123 countries and regions. Both exhibitors and buyers were impressed and bene-fited greatly from the vibrant business opportunities during the four-day show.

    Crossover sourcing has been a dominant trend among buyers nowadays. Buyers are no longer just seeking and shopping for a narrow selection of product categories at trade fairs. They have very diverse and multiple targets on their sourcing lists.

    Analytics on visitors of the MEGA SHOW SERIES over the past decade point to the fact that there has been a fast-growing number of buyers who are keenly looking for sporting goods and outdoor items at the show.

    To embrace this high-growth product sector, a new theme show Asian Sporting Goods Show was launched in 2019. Co-located with the other four long-standing theme shows featuring gifts & premiums, housewares & kitchenware, toys & baby products, and Christmas & festive supplies, the 2020 Asian Sporting Goods Show sets to further expand the show’s product portfolio to offer buyers a truly one-stop sourcing experience over the four-day event.
