The Games

• The Games that will be played for these Beer Olympics are as follows and in this order

• Volume Chug• Ruit • Beer Ball • Louisville Chugger/ Dizzy Bat • Flip Cup • Civil War • There will be Puke Stations at each set-up and the judges

will be walking around with bags so I swear to god if anyone but me pukes in my apartment there will be hell to pay.

Volume Chug

Volume Chug: Number of Participants – Whole Team

This is the best event to start off with. Not only does every team member get to participate, everyone gets really drunk, really quickly.

Rules:

1. Each team is given one large bucket.

2. Into the bucket 1 can of beer per team member is poured.

3.The clock starts when the first participant beings to chug, the clock stops when all the beer has been finished. Points deducted if there is an 'excessive' amount of beer spilled.

4. Fastest time wins.

Ruit 1. In lieu of said tradition 10-cup, 21-cups are played with (6-5-4-3-2-1 rack).

2. Each team is allowed two members per side.

3. 1 celebrity shot per team, per round.

4. If the ball is bounced into a cup, that cup and another are to be consumed by one team member. If the ball is bounced, it can be swatted. If a player knocks his own cup over on a swat, a penalty is assessed. He/she must chug a can of beer, and while they're doing that, the opposition gets to shoot until that can of beer is finished. Regardless of how many cups were hit and by whom, “rollback” and “fire” rules do not apply during penalty shots.

5. In official Beer Olympics play, in the spirit of speeding up competition, “catching fire” and team “rollbacks” are allowed. Fire is achieved after a single player hits 3 cups in a row, and rollbacks occur when team members both hit cups in the same turn.

6. If both players on one side sink the same cup, the game is not over (as is tradition), the opposing team has to chug 3 cups each, including the cup that was hit twice.

Beer Ball Similar to beerpong this game is played on a long table. Each side places at least two beer cans or bottles on their side.

Each player on a team gets to throw a ball (ping pong) at the other side. If the ball hits the can the player that made the throw chugs their beer until the other team can touch the ball back to the table. Once that ball has touched the table the beer drinking must immediately stop.

First team to finish all the beers on their side wins. While the game is usually played with four players, two on each side, the number of players doesn’t really change the rules any.

Louisville Chugger/Dizzy Bat

Also popularly referred to as “Dizzy Bat”, Louisville Chugger requires a wiffle ball bat with the bottom cut off, and one team member with really good hand-eye coordination. The bat is filled with beer. Clock starts when the player lifts the bat to chug, he then places the bat on the ground (as shown) spins around 10 times, stands up into a batting stance, at which point another teammate will soft-toss the empty can of beer to him, and the clock stops when the player hits the can with the bat. Because this is a later event, between the 10 spins and all the alcohol consumed at this point, this is also the event that produces the most hilarious results.

Rules:

1. If the player doesn't spin around 10 times, then a penalty of one-beer-per-spin-short is assessed.

2. In the interest of time, the clock is stopped at 4 minutes if the player can't hit the can.

3. No penalties for a “reversal of fortune” in this event.

Flip CupSet up-

Players are divided into two even numbered teams and stand on opposite sides of a table. The 1st racers are at the front of the table facing each other, 2nd racers next to them, 3rd racers next them etc. and the last players are known as the “anchors”.

Game Play-Once everyone is seated with their drink the judge will start the race with “Drinkers ready!

3-2-1 Drink!” When the race has begun, the first racer on each team begins to drink his or her beer. When the first racer has completely finished his or her beer the cup is placed right-side up at the edge of the table, and the person who drank it tries to flip it upside down onto the table using one hand (meaning the lip of the cup would be on the table). If he or she is not successful on the first try, the cup must be reset and re-flipped. If two hands are used the flip is not counted and the cup must be reset right side up. Only after the first teammate has successfully flipped their cup upside down, can the next person proceed. Whichever team finishes drinking and flipping all its cups first is the winner. If the last two players’ cups hit the table at the same time the first cup that comes to rest is the winner.

Civil War

Two teams of three square off in a rapid-fire game of pong, where each player has a 6 cup lifeline (3 can work if the table is small), and no balls are off limit for roll backs (so pay attention to rebounds). The drink-before-you-shoot rule is in play as usual, but there is no "turns", so any team/player can shoot any ball at any time, including passing balls off to their teammates (
