Audions will be held on January 8 and 9 with callbacks, if need- ed, on January 11. There are parts for all ages, including adults, and some parts require exten- sive dance. Shows will be held March 16 - 25. There will be school shows on Thursday, March 22. Most rehearsals will be held on Tuesday eve- nings and Sunday aſternoons at the Tempo Dance Studio. Those planning to audion should come prepared to perform a cappella for up to one minute from a musical num- ber that best demonstrates their vocal range and abilies. It is pre- ferred that the song chosen for audi- ons not be from “The Lile Mer- maid” The producon team includes Jonathan Humble (Director), Chris Barr (Choreographer) and Richard Streon (Musical Director). “The Lile Mermaid” with music by Alan Menken, book by Doug Wright and lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glen Slater is based on the Hans Chrisan Anderson story and the Disney film produced by Howard Ashman and John Muskar and wrien and directed by John Muskar and Ron Clements. “Disney’s The Lile Mer- maid” was originally produced by Disney Theatrical Producons. The Lile Mermaid” is the story of a mermaid named Ariel whose biggest dream is to be able to live on land aſter she falls in love with a hand- some prince that she rescued aſter he ends up in the ocean during a violent storm. Longing to become human and be with the prince, Ariel bargains with a Sea Witch and gives up her beauful voice in exchange for hu- man legs. The bargain is not without peril and condions. The story un- folds as we find out if Ariel and Prince Eric will find their happily ever aſter. “Disney’s The Lile Mermaid” is pre- sented through special arrangement with Music Theatre Internaonal (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI (msshows.com). Performances are scheduled for Feb- ruary 9-16, 2017. Performers must be available for all performance dates. Rehearsals will normally be from 6:00pm to 9:00pm on Monday, Tues- day and Thursday nights. Addional rehearsals may be scheduled as deemed necessary.
