INTRODUCTION
The NGO World Foundation Pakistan,
briefly called TNW is a non profit, non
governmental and non discriminatory
organization for development of the
vulnerable & marginalized communities of Pakistan. TNW works without any
discrimination of caste, creed and faith. TNW is a register under the society act 1860.
TNW is also ISO 9001 Certified organization on quality management.
TNW PREVIOUS EXPERIENCES
TNW started it disaster response program from it
initiatives during and after floods 2010. Since that
TNW has completed following projects.
1. Distribution of huge quantity of food & non food
item benefiting around 50000 families.
2. Construction of permanent quality homes (30 two
rooms shelter) in Layyah.
3. Construction of permanent quality 100 single room shelters (32 Layyah and 68
Muzzafargarh).
4. Revival of household carpet industry in Layyah (100 units constructed).
5. Reconstruction 22 feeder schools along with provision of all necessary facilities
(Desks, teacher table chair bath rooms and Hand pumps) in Layyah (benefiting 1225
students).
6. Installation of 1000 household units of Bio sand Water Filter and awareness raising
campaign during relief phase Layyah and Muzaffar garh.
7. Conduction of free medical camps and provision of
medicines to the affected people of Layyah
8. Distribution of Ration/ Ramazan package among
windows, orphans and poor families during Ramazan
2010-13 and benefited 4000 families.
9. Arranged Qurbani on Eid-ul-azha 2010 - 2013 and
provision of meat to 40000 affected families.

Heavy rains and water released by
dams in the Chenab river in India
have flooded vast areas and caused
widespread destruction in Sialkot,
Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad,
Chiniot, Jhang, Multan, Muzaffarhgarh
and other areas.
The Punjab government has declared
a flood emergency in the province.
Over 700 villages have been
inundated across Punjab, and
standing crops on thousands of acres of land have been completely destroyed. Floods
wreaked devastation in districts of Punjab, leaving several areas cut off from the rest of
the country. 1.1 Millions Peoples and 3000 villages have been badly affected by the

floods so far. Rains and floods have killed 280 people
and injured more than 500 across the country.
The ongoing ferocious flood has
damaged crops cultivated at an area of over four
lakh acres of in Khanewal, Multan and Muzzafargarh
districts.

TNW team has been visiting the flood affected areas including;
Jhang (18 hazari, garh maharaja, ahmadpur syal)
Multan (Muhammad wala, sher shah)
Muzaffargarh

NEEDS IDENTIFIED
Affected populations need temporary toilets, food items, and hygiene kits and tents
particularly women are facing hardships without these needs.
MOST CRITIAL NEED
Affected children need urgently following specific food items for them;
Milk, biscuits, clean water and others
As immediate response TNW has planned and distributed 1000 packs of food items
among children. Food packs include;
- 3000 packs of biscuits
- 4000 milk packs
- 1000 bottles of clean drinking water
Cost for per pack for a child is Rs. 200/. (USD 02/per child
