CIPET operates on hub & spokes model with 22 locations spread across the length & breadth of the country and all the CIPET centres have state of art infrastructural facilities in the areas of Design, CAD/CAM/CAE, Tooling & Mould Manufacturing, Plastics processing, Testing and Quality control to cater to the needs of plastics & allied industries in the country.
MINISTRY OF INDUSTRY AND COMMERCE (MIC) plays a dynamic role in the development of the industrial sector in Sri Lanka. It is the key Ministry responsible for promoting industrial development in the country within the wide policy framework spelt out by the government.MIC, being the policy formulating entity for the industrial sector, has taken several initiatives to increase the industrial sector performance. MIC has several plans to strengthen the Plastics and Rubber industry with a special focus to facilitate the exports of these products from Sri Lanka.With these initiatives on hand, MIC has pledged its support for the 2nd edition of SRI LANKA PLAST, which also has RUBEXPO as its concurrent show at Colombo.
