Barcelona is one of Europe’s most dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystems and home to over 1,200 startups with ambition and global vision.
In its 2017 report on the European Technological Panorama, the investment fund Atomico highlights that Barcelona ranks fourth in Europe in volume invested in startups (722 million dollars) in 2017. Atomico also names Barcelona as the third city of preference for entrepreneurs to create a new startup, after London and Berlin.
This is all thanks to the fact that the city creates and attracts talent, promotes an entrepreneurship culture and is a magnet for business angels and venture capital.
