Wow, what a day! 35 cars and 2 motorbikes from NRVC, plus hundreds of other cars we set up 6 gazebos,

tables & chairs, we all enjoyed tea/coffee, cold drinks, cakes and cupcakes.

There was market stalls to wonder around and DJ Vinnie kept everyone entertained by playing good music

as always.

The judge’s choice award was given to Ken & Vicki, Bill & Collene received the award for best

Veteran/Vintage car, Donna & Frank also won an award for best English car. Well done to you all!

At the end of the day some of us went out to Hinton Pub only to find it was closed and had been since the

floods. So we went back into Raymond Terrace, it was nice to finally have a cold cordial.

It was a super-hot day! I hope everyone had a great day at Morpeth Motorama 2016

We left Edgeworth Maccas and had a short drive to Dobell Park Wangi for morning tea. Then went to Teralba Bowling Club to play bowls. After some practice paired in to teams, a lot of barter and missed judged bowls went in the ditch. Neville organised several games to be played with Ken Fairhall cleaning up: Closest to the Jack in the spider, as well as closest to the Jack without Jack or bowl going in to the ditch. It was noted Frank left the event early to be seen returning on foot a short time later. After hours of work at Kens place it turned out to be a starter motor problem. Pez came to the rescue for towing Frank to Kens home.

Another great mid week run .Waking to rain we weren't sure who would turn up. On arrival at Hexham Maccas we had 3 old and 2 new cars with 9 members. There were a few other old carsin the car park who were with the Morris Minor Club. I went and introduced myself and had a chat about where they were headed for the day. They were heading to a pub at Raymond Terrace and said we were welcome to join them. What a nice bunch of folks !!!! Due to the rain we decided to stay outside at Maccas and have morning tea there. Some brought a coffee while others used their own. Lots of laughs and stories were shared over coffee. After more discussion we decided to take the cars for a drive and go to Paterson as planned. We drove through Raymond Terrace and then onto Paterson. On arrival at Paterson it was still raining so it was decided we would have lunch at Paterson Tavern. Meals were good value and very nice. The award was given to Peter and Anne Visser

We met at BUNNINGS WALLSEND there was about 19 cars . We headed off all good until we got to Raymond Terrace when Barry's car started having trouble first the brakes then it boiled, we travelled along and finally made it still playing up. When we arrived Barry had to arrange to get it towed home. After we arrived we parked the cars and set the gazebos up with Lyn and Rob setting up their brand new one, we had a great set up 5 in a row, with plenty of shade and most of the time there was a sea breeze. There was plenty of lovely home made cakes from the red cross ladies and hamburger, bacon and eggs, sausage, Steak and lamb sandwiches. There was also plenty of food that the members also bought. The awards were given to Colleen and Bill also Lyn and Rob got an award and the last one went to Nat. Cereal pest (Frank) continually put a for sale sign on some cars resulting in one car getting a few offers one being a hefty offer the cereal pest soon was apprehended. Doreen and John won first prize in the raffle, a weekend away to Boathouse Resort Teagardens. As we packed up there was a bit of a problem with Rob and Lyn's gazebo, it took a lot of persuasion to get the leg up to fit it back in the bag, with some help they did it. I think everyone had a good day chatting to each other and looking at all the lovely cars there.
