Well done!
REPORTS
Student Semester One reports were sent home
yesterday via email. These reports include a summary
of your child’s learning and provide information on
areas of achievement, areas for further development
and comments on their social development and
commitment to learning.
The teachers have spent considerable time reflecting
on your child’s progress across Terms 1 and 2 and
have written the reports to provide a summary to
parents.
As part of the school’s program, some aspects of Key
Learning Areas (KLAs) are taught by our Release from
Face to Face (RFF) teachers. These teachers have
provided a brief comment on your child’s learning.
Please take the time to review the report and to
discuss aspects with your child. This is a great
opportunity to acknowledge their learning efforts and
reflect on areas for further progress in Semester Two.
I would like to acknowledge the work done by staff in
writing the reports for parents, as they are an
important part of the reporting process on a child’s
learning.

SNOWSPORT TEAM
Good luck to students participating in the Snowsport
Championships as part of the Narrabeen North team.
With an increase in participants, this year we have 21
students competing in 47 races.
We wish all competitors well for their respective
events.
SYDNEY NORTH DANCE CONCERT
It has been a very busy period for the two dance
groups involved in the Sydney North Dance Festival at
Glen Street Theatre. It was a pleasure on Tuesday
evening to join Mrs Mulkeen to see them both
perform so well.
Whilst it all comes together on the night, the two
dance troupes have committed large amounts of
time to rehearsing with Miss Debbie White in
preparation for taking to the stage.
The energy and performance of the children was very
impressive. I feel like this year we hit even greater
heights!
Thank you to Mrs Stewart, Miss Benns and Miss Dickson
for giving so generously of their time to support the
two dance groups to ensure they had the opportunity
to showcase their talents on stage.
SCHOOL HOLIDAYS
It has certainly been busy this term with a wide variety
of activities for the children. I’m sure they are all
looking forward to the holidays.
The holidays will commence after school tomorrow.
Students will return on Tuesday, 23 July.
I hope that everyone has a safe and enjoyable
STAGE 2 SHOWCASE
Stage 2 students have been studying the relationship
between the sun and the Earth and have been
identifying the regular changes. Students then set
about working collaboratively to plan, design and
create their own 3D model to show the passing of
time.
This week Stage 2 held a showcase of their final
prototypes. This was an opportunity to acknowledge
and celebrate the creative and critical thinking and
problem solving skills all students have been
developing based around the concept of measuring
time. Their products were incredible!
Thank you Stage 2 teachers for the collaborative
work you do to ensure that students are provided
with rich and rigorous learning experiences that
encourage them to think critically and creatively.

GET LOST MR SCARY!
Seven Year 1 students celebrated their successful
completion of the ‘Get Lost Mr Scary Program’ last
Thursday. The students have been engaged in a play
-based, experiential group program that helps
students deal with fears and anxiety. It was a 7 week
program coordinated by Mrs Eyre our school
counsellor and Mrs Mulkeen.
The students used puppets and play to learn how to
use sensible thinking and become the boss of their
worries. It has been such a great success that we
hope to run the program again very soon.
SIBLINGS STARTING SCHOOL IN 2020
It is now time to start the enrolment process for our
new kindergarten students for 2020.
We would greatly appreciate it if you have a child
starting at NNPS next year could you please return
your enrolment papers to the office for processing.
Thank you to those families who have already
provided this information.
