With the Evolution® compact,ThyssenKrupp Aufzüge presents a new, trend-settinginnovation: the first elevatorwithout a conventional shaft pit!Until now, dimensions of between 1100 mm and 1400 mm were considered the standard depth for all shaft pits.

This situation often led to pro-blems for elevator installations.Limitations were revealed inconnection with such things astraffic patterns, the kind or theconstruction of the building.From now on, elevator installa-tions need no longer sufferfrom these problems, with shaftrecesses now no deeper thanan all-time low of 300 mm,thanks to the new Evolution®

compact.

One can now dispense with thetypical shaft pit. This unique elevatorconstruction, which is designed tobe very flat on the bottom, makespossible the equally unique shallowshaft recess of only 300 mm.

The gearless and maintenance-freedrive concept Thyssen Mini gearless®,the central element of the entireEvolution® family.

The safety of individuals workingin the shaft recess is ensuredboth mechanically and electricallyby means of integrated monito-ring technology. Additional protec-tion is offered by the buffer sup-port, which is raised up manually.

Boundaries pushed back: The completely new, self-con-tained elevator car with integrated safety frame marks thebreakthrough to new dimensions.

Quality and safety combined: The type-tested safety brakeprevents uncontrolled upward movements.

If the elevator approaches a landing with advanced dooropening a fixed apron in combination with an additionalcollapsible apron was developed in order to comply with therequirements of EN81. When the elevator travels to thelowest landing, the collapsible apron folds together quietlyand cleverly under the elevator car.

Closed-off protected space: The presence of individualsentering the shaft recess is monitored at all times by meansof electrical switching and the interception device is activeupon entry. In addition, a buffer support column to bemanually raised ensures the safety of individuals in thetemporary protected space in the shaft recess.

The safety concept fulfils the requirements of EU regulation95/16/EG. This means that the elevator can be operated inGermany without limitation.

The elevator car can come pre-assembled by the factory orcan be assembled on site.

Most modern technology and efficiency: in addition, theEvolution® compact is provided with all the advantages ofour Evolution® family standard equipment: maximum reliability through maintenance-free, gearless operation;considerable space savings through reduction of the size of the drive mechanism; low connection loads and highefficiency.
