Light emitting diodes are based on semiconductors that convert electric current into light. Measuring just a few centimeters in length, LEDs are a valuable alternative to conventional light sources in many areas of general lighting.

Tiny light with enormous strengths:all you need to know about the LED.

New lighting technology.In contrast to incandescentlamps, which produce acontinuous spectrum, anLED emits light of a particularcolor. The color of the lightdepends on the semi-conductor material used.

White light.To produce white light, thelight of blue LEDs is passedthrough yellow phosphors.The composition of thephosphor determines the lightcolor.

By selecting appropriate whiteLEDs, it is possible to offerLED systems with the samelight colors as fl uorescentlamps (Warm White, NeutralWhite and Daylight).

FineWHITELED modules W3FThe new FineWHITE LEDmodules “W3F” from OSRAMmeet the highest demands ingroundbreaking lighting tech-nology. Whereas in previous LED applications, the colorshades within one moduleused to differ, OSRAM has created a new generation ofwhite LED modules. The re-sult: highest color homogenei-ty within one module andthere fore fi rst-class standardquality. For the illumination ofwhite surfaces such as in wall-washing, this means homoge-neous lighting scenarios.

The advantages of FineWHITEproducts become especiallyevident in sensitive applica-tions, for instance whenindividual LED light spots are visible next to each other, or inbacklighting with low installati-on depth and diffuse covers. More over, W3F products offer50 to 100 % more light output than their “W2” forerunners –while having the same powerconsumption. With W3F Fine-WHITE products, OSRAM of-fers a level of LED light qualitywhich, in terms of homogenei-ty, is on par with the estab-lished standard for fl uorescent lamps.

high-fl ux LEDs on 2,700 specially designed DRAGONtape modules, operated with 350 OPTOTRONIC® 75 units, bathe the corridors in the Turning Torso tower in a pleasant uniform light. Movement sensors reduce energy consumption, and the LEDs reach full light intensity immediately. Even if the LEDs are switched on and off very often, their life cycle is not shortened.

OT EASY 60/220-240/24 RGB is an all-in-one product. It integrates the control gear, controller and dimmer in one unit. It is operated via the EASY lighting management system, opening up many different possible applications with extremely simple operation and installation.

The control gear supplies a constant output voltage of 24 V and is set up to operate 24-V LED modules. The output power of 60 W is distributed among four channels RGB+W; 60 W is also possible on one channel. The integrated dimmer has 4 x 24-V PWM outputs for RGB+W color mixing. The controller in OT EASY 60/220-240/24 RGB has an individually confi gurable RGB+W sequencer for stand-alone operation. Color and lighting scenes can be stored and retrieved as either static or dynamic scenes.

OT EASY 60/220-240/24 RGB can be easily combined with different operating elements.

Colors and lighting scenes can be easily set in conjunction with the EASY IR Sensor and the EASY RMC remote control. Scenes and colors can also be set with the air of the EASY PUSH BUTTON coupler and conventional pushbutton units from any range. The Windows interface of the EASY Color Control software allows for the visualization and interactive use of all the functions of the OT EASY 60/220-240/24 RGB.

With the master/slave function of the OT EASY 60/220-240/24 RGB, lighting systems can be expanded quickly and easily. It is therefore no problem at all to provide dynamic LED lighting.

OPTOTRONIC® electronic control gear specifi cally for high-fl ux LED systems.For optimum operation of LED modules, control gear is needed that is precisely matched to requirements. We therefore offer a separate OPTOTRONIC® series that has been specially developed for operating high-fl ux LEDs. The new generation of high-fl ux LED modules calls for operation at a constant current of 350 mA or 700 mA for example.

systems (yachts, boats, mobile homes, solar lights, etc.)- allows OSRAM’s standard range of LEDs to be combined

with high-fl ux modules (e.g. LINEARlight together with DRAGONtape® in one application)

OT 9/200-240/350 DIM is an independent dimmable electronic control gear with cable clamp and control port (max 10 V)

700 mA LED-Module OT 35/200-240/700 is a compact, electronically controlled constant current power supply unit (700 mA) with a maximum output of 35 WThe optional mounting kit makes installation easy(LMC CI Box)

OT 18/200-240/700 DIM is an independent compact dimmable control gear for 700 mA high-fl ux LED modules. Brightness is regulated via control port (max 10 V). Alternatively, the unit allows for the setting of the operating current by means of a resistor on an application-oriented basis, i. e. according to the thermal conditions. The operating current of the LEDs can be adjusted from 0 to 700 mA (pre-assembled for the operation on 500 mA with removable fi xed resistore)
