The Nagoya City Art MuseumOpened in 1988 to help cultivate cultural sophistication in Nagoya, the Nagoya City Art Museum stands at a tranquil site in the southeastern corner of Shirakawa Park, a fitting place for art appreciation. The Museum's facilities include a Permanent Collection Gallery, a Temporary Exhibition Gallery, an Auditorium, Library, Museum Shop, and a Coffee Shop.
•Permanent Collection Gallery—Art works from the permanent collection are on longterm display here. The display is changed three times a year.•Temporary Exhibition Gallery—The opportunity has been created here for people to see more works of superb art, both national and international, modern and contempo-rary art by the presentation of temporary exhibitions.•Auditorium—All sorts, of lectures, film conferences, etc. are held here.•Library—A variety of art l iterature is available for leisurely inspection.
