Congratulations to the fourth and fifth grade students that participated in Continental Math League Meet Four. Team Representatives in fourth grade are Brady, Owen, Allie, Dylan, Molly, Cain, Tavia, and Austin. We
would like to give a shout out to the fifth grade students that were able to answer three out of six questions correctly on a tough Meet Four: Dihya, Reece, Evan, Blake, Hudson, Jack, Campbell, and Margo. Top scorers with four out of six correct include Calen and Lucas. Nice job Prairie Creek!
Thank you so much for letting me come into your classrooms to provide this opportunity. One more meet!

TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK RECAP
It is entirely possible that in addition to having an amazing team of teachers here at Prairie Creek Elemen-
tary, that we have the most amazing parents. Teacher Appreciation Week (TAW) was filled with heartfelt
praise for our hardworking teachers by students and parents alike. If the teachers didn't feel appreciated
by the yummy lunch you all prepared for them each day, they certainly felt the love in the 10-minute mas-
sage they received (courtesy of the PTO) from Joslin James, proprietor of Circle of Life Massage Therapy,
who worked out some of the tension knots that have been building. Or perhaps the teachers felt most ap-
preciated by the daily gifts and goodies given to them by their classes. At the very least, the teachers had
to have felt special when they walked up on the larger than life "PCES TEACHERS ROCK" sign by
CardYourYard. At any rate, we hope that all of the teachers felt the love, in one form or another. We are
ever so thankful for all that you do, especially in light of the over-sized classes this year. Thank-you par-
ents, for donating your time & energy to show your students teacher just how important he/she is and
how grateful you are! Thanks too for contributing to the week of gifts and special treats, we are lucky to
have such giving families!
Special thanks go out to all of the Room Parents who organized the weeks events, from meal Sign-Up Ge-
nius distribution to collection for teacher gifts. Things certainly would NOT have gone as smoothly were it
not for our fabulous front office staff, Ms. Kuierra Swift and Ms. Sarah Geiter. Thank-you ladies for keep-
ing the Room Parents organized, the incoming lunch fare separated and for being cheery all the while.
You are both outstanding! Last but certainly not least, thanks to Kelly Northup, our fearless hospitality
coordinator, who spent the better part of each day setting up, restocking and cleaning up after the daily
teacher lunches. Were it not for Kelly, you might not have gotten the right crock-pot returned to you and it
certainly wouldn't have been clean. Thank-you Kelly, for all of the time you devoted during TAW, it was a
major success.
Join us at the upcoming PTO meeting on Monday, April 9th at 6:30 pm in the PCES library where we will be
taking nominations for and voting on the PTO Board Member positions for the 2018/2019 school year.
Positions include President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Teacher Liaison.
Paraprofessional’s Day - April 11th
Page 10 The Mustang Pride
The Big Top Bash this year is part of our Mustang March Program which has been going on for 7 years at Prairie Creek. This is the Parent
Teacher Organization (PTO) main fundraiser. The money raised at this annual event funds our budget for the following year. PTO sponsors
many school events such as the Movie Night and Ice Cream Social at the beginning of the year, Trunk or Treat, and Holiday Shop! We also
provide funds for Field Trips; supplemental funds for teachers to purchase items for their classroom and curriculum, and provide funds for
Room Parents to subsidize class parties. We even have a fund for teachers to request larger curriculum based items such as STEM tools and
indoor recess activities. This year we were able to provide the children with new swings and soccer goals for their playground!
PLEASE NOTE, THIS FUNDRAISER WILL PROVIDE FUNDS FOR THE PRAIRIE
CREEK AND TIMBER SAGE ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS.
You won’t want to miss this event! There will be a Silent Auction, Carnival Games, food and more! All activities, raffle drawings, food, etc will
require tickets. Outlined below are the number of tickets required per event.
Ticket Prices:
Hotdogs: 4 tickets Inflatables: 2 tickets Snacks: 1-3 tickets Teacher Raffle Prizes: 1 ticket
