Make Dreams Real
NICE TIE ERIC, Should have worn the banner instead.
Eric presents a NEW BANNER for the Club.
I don’t know how this got in my trunk!
He thinks I took it.
So you like the jacket or what? It’s got a gun
pocket too...see?
Now these here are the
rules.
Cliff’s gone, no more rules on Charmin.
I’m in the Friendliest
Club in 5240 - Can you
tell?
Lyle helps with the sound for Hugh Ralston.
Try to keep from bumping this
button...the feedback is excruciating.
Hugh shares good info. for our club to consider. Hugh is the President/CEO
of the Ventura County Community Foundation.
Hugh thanks Bruce and is glad he didn’t get a cheesy pen.
(Editor’s note...Paul, I think that’s exactly what he DID get...where were you?)
Happy B’Day Lyle… John & Barry PRAY that Lyle
doesn’t sing.
Does Lyle love his BDay or WHAT?

ANCIENT HISTORY- Margit and Randy Wheeler receive a personal private tour of the Moor-park Mammoth bones at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History, courtesy of Jeff Grossman, the museum's director of membership. The tusk pictured is about 6 to 7 feet long. The age of a mammoth can be determined from the rings in the tusk, much like the rings of a tree reveal the tree's age.
Reminders & Members In The News...
Find Myrtle and you could win an Ice Cream Certificate, or a Rotary Baseball Cap, or a cheesy Rotary Pen
Any of you could find her and win a prize, Good Luck!!! Read the fine print….
We are getting lots, a ton, of entries and the decision of the judges will be final. Send in your guess to be eligible. We’ll enter your correct guess in the pool of potential
winners and pick out one winner from all the correct guesses each week.
Sample only doesn’t count...same goes
for the club flag on page 1.
Another Pres. who can’t find his bell? Forgets the invocation/prayer
too? Oh Brother - NEXT! Oh wait, that would be Wheeler -
Forget it. Did anyone notice who is eating for TWO lately? Congrats Lady! You look GREAT!
Thanks to Janice Parvin (Mayoral Candidate) & Keith Millhouse (Transportation Czar) for their
visit...Stop by more often.
How about Randy (future P) and that shirt? WOW! Need your sunglasses.
Did that come with a 9Volt?
Brad Larson spotted Myrtle last week and was our WINNER. Let’s see who finds Myrtle this week. To see Myrtle in the
bone, stop by at her new location in Sta. Barbara. She’s in for a spring cleaning.
She’s still a beauty.
Summer is here - notice the lower attendance? Don’t forget to MAKE-UP!!!
Dale, the Sneaky Greeter, got a bunch of non-friendlies for some cash. Way to go
Dale.
Hey - Contact JODI with any news/events/local happenings/ etc. you want
promoted. She’ll make it happen.
Sarah! Getting lazy in your old age? How about more pic’s?
Don’t forget if you’re a member of our club, you need to get involved with the
Civil War team. Do something even if it hurts.
P.S. 8/15 is a Mandatory Meeting - Gov is in town. WHOOPEE!!!
Let Carolyn know about how many Community Service Hours you put in.
It helps our club goal.
Hey, maybe we can pull off this picnic thing yet.
YA THINK? NAH!
Don’t forget our RAM Club and the “Gammer Days” Event @ CLU coming
up in Sept. BE THERE and support your fellow club members.

Paul Harris Fellows, Major Donors & Benefactors:
These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete... Remember; spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever. Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side. Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent. Remember, to say, "I love you" to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you. Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again. Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind. AND ALWAYS REMEMBER: Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
A Message From George Carlin...continuted from last week.
