Age thirteen is the median age that Catholic youth disaffiliate with their faith and join the rising tide of “nones” in the country. It is also often the age at which many young people are completing their final step of full initiation. What’s the connection and what critical role does the family play within the sacramental dynamic? Our Speaker for the night is Dr. Robert McCarty. Bob has worked in professional youth ministry at the parish, community, diocesan, and national levels since 1973. Bob teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in youth ministry at several colleges, and presents training and formation programs on ministry issues and skills internationally.
This night is for all those that minister, work, volunteer and walk with young people on their faith journey - Catechists, Youth
