This is a regional project that raises funds for underprivileged youth in Third World countries. A little goes a long way. Please donate. The devasta-tion in island countries like The Baha-mas, the lack of clean drinking water in African villages, etc. Think about how you can help benefit a child’s life. All donors will be recognized at Regional Meeting.

THE CONTINENTAL MEMBERSHIP PIN

The pin is an adaptation of our national symbol cast in gold. Below the hand are three stones: a Ruby, a Pearl, and an Emerald. The red, white and green stones represent our national colors. The official colors of the Continental Societies, Inc. are red, white and green. RED: Symbolizes our friendship and love for children and all humanity WHITE: Symbolizes our sincerity of purpose and our desire to aid children uncompromisingly GREEN: Symbolizes fertility and our prayer that our programs will grow in structure of purpose, enriching and development of children and youth. The pin should be worn over the heart with the chapter name bar fastened to the left. The pin should be worn at formal Continental sessions, services, and meetings. (Manual of Standard Operating Procedures, 2019, Appendix V Protocol pages 4 and 5)

NOTE: The pin is not worn on tee-shirts and other casual attire. The pin is worn on your left.

Historical Hallmarks

Our Commitment

Our Concern Commitment to sisterhood is being emotionally bound to our sisters. Our commitment to sisterhood began when we signed the pledge at our Membership Induction ceremony and became a member of Continental Societies, Inc. A commitment to sisterhood is working hard to attain and sustain a rela-tionship with your sisters through the good times and not so good times. We commit ourselves to serving as a leader when it is time to lead and a follower when it is time to follow. Lots of people want to ride with you in the limo, but what you want is someone who will take the bus with you when the limo break down. Oprah Winfrey

Optimism and sisterhood go hand-in-hand. Being optimistic is having the type of attitude that keeps us focused on the positive characteristics of a person. Optimism is a conscious selective focus on the good. When we are optimistic we are happier, better sisters and we help others be happy and hope-ful, too. Over and over you can be sure There will be sorrow but you will endure Where there’s a flower, there’s the sun and the rain Oh and it’s wonderful they’re one and the same Joy and pain are like sunshine and rain.
