From the PastorNew Day,

Fresh Faith

“Then the righteous will answer Him,

saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You

hungry and feed You, or thirsty and

give You drink?’ ‘When did we see

you a stranger and invite you in, or naked and clothe

You?’ ‘Or when did we see You sick, or

in prison, and come to You?’ ”

‘ “And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, in as much as you did

it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it

to Me.’ ”

Matthew 25:37-40

Indebtedness ............ 245,427

There is a renewed spirit of mission spreading through Spring Hill Baptist Church. God is stirring us to do everything we can to reach everyone we can. It’s a new day, and that calls for fresh faith.

Faith looks to the future and asks, “What can we do to further the work of God?” It attempts great things for God and expects great things from God. This year’s budget represents just that kind of faith. That’s why I don’t hesitate to ask you to support it with your vote and pledge.

The Apostle Paul says, “Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously” (2 Cor. 9:6). He doesn’t mean we should give to get. He means you don’t have to worry that giving will leave you poorer.

On the contrary: “God is able to bless you abundantly so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. … You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion” (2 Cor. 9:8,11).

When you commit to support the ministries of Spring Hill Baptist Church with your pledge, you will discover in experience what we all know in theory: it is “more blessed to give than to receive”!

In Christ’s service, Paul

“Operation Christmas Child is so much more than a shoebox filled with small gifts. It’s a glimmer of hope in a sometimes very dark place. It’s a path we can use to share the gospel around the world and it’s a yes response to the command to minister to the ‘least of these’.” –Janice Butler
