The Views and opinions expressed or implied in Message Magazine are those of the authors or taken from reliable websites. Great care is taken to ensure the accuracy of the contents fo Message Magazine, but the publishers accept no responsibility for any errors or omissions.Letters and readers contributions may be editted at our discretion.

As time passes by, we often take time to reflect on our accomplishments and achievements in life; we also sit and visualize how different our lives would have been had we taken a different path than the one we are currently on; would our lives be in a better state, or a worse state or would it be the same? One thing for sure is that no matter how old you are, or how experienced you might imagine yourself to be, it is never too late to learn something new! We are living in a time where the majority of people seem to be motivated to do their own thing, whether it is in starting their own business, or starting a family,or continue their education, or maybe even learning a new language; no matter what the case may be, all this motivation is highly inspiring, so thank you for the inspiration!

Our main aim is to offer you an enjoyable reading experience, we do not wish to change your way of thinking, for diversity is the sign of a healthy society; just imagine how dull and boring life would be if we all thought and acted in the same manner. What we have selected for you in our first issue is a set of topics that we hope you enjoy; like the history of our glorious Kuwaiti flag that we must raise in honor and dignity, and which types of foods are so useful that they have come to be known as Super Foods, we also have a large selection of trendy clothing items that have been picked out by our fashion expert and many more.Hope you enjoy your reading experience and I would personally love to interact with our readers with their comments (positive or negative) in the future.

Yours Sincerely,

Mr. Ahmed BuhaimedEditor in Chief

Bas Ya Bahr is the story of a crippled pearl diver who forbids his son Mussaid to go to sea to dive for pearls. Mussaid’s father became emotionally inclined after resurfacing too fast during a shark attack on his boat. However, the boy cannot see any other way to make enough money to mary Nura, his beloved. Nura is the daughter of a merchant who wants her to marry for money. Finally, his father gives Mussaid permission to go to sea and even gives him his special black diving suit. Mussaid then works with the man to whom his father owes money. While Mussaid is away, Nura is forced by her family to marry a rich, older suitor. During his last dive Mussaid puts his hand inside a huge clam which closes on it. Mussaid is gasping for air and his friend has to amputate his arm in order to rescue him.

Chocolates, “food for the earth,” which have many names in various parts or the planet earth are products come from cocoa beans (cacao beans- the seeds of the fruit of the cacao tree). The dark chocolate sometimes called the "black chocolate" was a product of the ingredients fat and sugar and cocoa. Dark chocolate may also be used in cooking for a thicker dish solution.

The fact that the dark chocolate, which is packed with natural cell-protecting antioxidants (usually found in fruits, vegetables, grains and nuts), is really good for health by considering it with moderation, the dark chocolate has abundant benefits. In fact, ounce for ounce, dark chocolate and cocoa have more antioxi-dants than do foods like blueberries, green tea and red wine that some people were surprised and tend to forget that chocolate is a plant-based food. Getting dark chocolate on your diet is the best way to recharge antioxidant power. Antioxidants acts to protect your cells from damaging molecules called free radicals. Free radicals are basically unstable oxygen molecules that can trigger changes in the structure of normally healthy cells. Other antioxidant includes Vitamin C and Vitamin E. Dark chocolates contain chemical serotonin, which acts as an anti-depressant. It stimulates the production of endorphins (brain chemicals bring feeling of pleasure). Food for the heart, it matters”. Natural compounds in dark chocolate may aid the cardiovascular system by improving blood flow and reducing blood pressure. Help your arter-ies relax and widen, lowering blood pressure, promoting good blood flow and reducing the strain on the heart. Scientists have also discovered that cocoa may help maintain healthy arteries. Some research prop ups a number of health advantages of dark chocolate that includes reduced insulin sensitivity, increased feelings of fullness and reduced stress and cortisol levels. Dark chocolate is rich in flavanoids which help restore more normal function in cells to better control blood sugar. It has the highest percentage of cocoa solids, therefore more flavanoid(protects skin through absorbing UV light) antioxidants as highlights of most of the studies and it is primarily contributes also cardiovascular health which is one of the reason to spoil.

New York Post reported a $50 million lawsuit against Alexander Wang for running a sweatshop in Chinatown, Manhattan on March 5, 2012. There were roughly 30 workers who complained regarding the labor conditions in which Wang forces to work and according to some of his workers Wang has violated a number of New York Labor Laws. One of his former workers pushes out the allegation but according to his representative, “The claims regarding sweatshop conditions are completely untrue. In reality, this case was filed by an individual who was let go by the company as a result of serious harassment issues. We stand by our decision to promote a safe workplace environment for all employees regardless of false claims that may be waged against us in retaliation.”

According to Women’s Wear Daily the plaintiffs involved in the suit are asking for $50 million per charge, adding up to $450 million for the 8 charges in total. Despite the recent charges, according to the New York Post, Alexander Wang is planning to open as many as 15 stores in the upcoming year due to the major success of his first shop on Grand Street in SoHo

The Blazer Term originated from the red blazers of Lady Margaret Bout Club in 1825 The Rowing Club Of Saint John College Cambridge .The Jacket term is usually referred to as a waist length garment worn by Men and Women and a jacket usually has long sleeves and buckles up at the front . Whereas the blazer is similar but has more of a formal look to it and usually fastens up the single way or the double breasted way with metal buttons .The Blazer usually resembles a suit garment with stand out with detail like a distiktive collar to patch pockets and detailed stitching and under garment lining.

In the past the blazer jacket has served many purposes such as the army and navy to yatch and polo clubs amongst the rich and privileged.

Modern day blazers also have vital roll and serve many sectors such as the airlines industry and educational sector.

The Birth of the Blazer Jacket

As far as 1845 blazers came in blue and white stripes and it is from that the

word blazer came to our English language meaning a stripped jacket. Striped

blazers were extremely popular amongst young British mods in the early 1960’s

and again during the mod revival of the late 1970’s particularly in three-color

thick/thin stripe combinations. Bands— such as the rolling stones and the bee-

tles also supported the blazer look and adopted the blazer style of the period.

Up to this day the blazer is always recognized as a vital fashion staple and is a continuous key trend setter in every season the comes and goes. Blazers nowadays can be worn according to the taste of the individual and they come in all kinds of colors, materials and shapes. Blazers are worn with jeans and chinos as well as worn over dresses and skirts and it will always be recognized as an essential wardrobe piece.
