The Malaysian Oil & Gas Services Council (MOGSC), which was formed on 1st December 2003, is a not for profit association promoted and driven by the services sector of the Malaysian Oil & Gas Industry. MOGSC is the premier business forum and our membership of over 500 companies represents all sectors within the Oil & Gas Industry. MOGSC›s key mission is to promote the capabilities of the Malaysian Service Providers.

1. OBJECTIVE The objective of the conference is to promote Health, Safety, Security, Environmental Protection and Loss Prevention in the region by providing a forum for practitioners from Industries, Academia and Government to share experiences, technological advances, new ideas, innovations and best practices.

2. CONFERENCE DESIGNInaugural “ASEAN HSSE Loss Prevention & Professional Development Conference & Expo” that will be hosted by Malaysian Oil & Gas Services Council (MOGSC) on 18th & 19th September 2019 in Kuala Lumpur, at Istana Hotel Convention Hall, Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA.

Professionals from the Industry / Institutions are encouraged to submit their Technical Papers/e-Posters. In addition, e-Poster presentations by the Students and Young Professionals are also encouraged.

3. PAPER PROPOSAL CATEGORIES Presentations relating to HSSE in the Industry are welcome. Following major disciplines is suggested though not limited to; • Occupational Health • Industrial Hygiene • Process Safety Management • Personnel Safety • Emergency Preparedness & Response • Fire Safety • Environmental Engineering and Management • Loss Prevention • Cyber Security • Industrial Security

4. LANGUAGEAll proposals to be submitted in English language.

5. ELIGIBILITYProfessionals, Organizations, Teachers, Scientists, Research Scholars, Students, Exhibitors and Manufacturers.

6. CONFERENCE EXPENSESConference Registration Fee is exempted for the SPEAKERS.

7. GUIDELINES FOR PAPER AND e-POSTER PRESENTATIONS • Objectives/Scope - List the objectives

and/or scope of the proposed paper. (Max. 75 words)• Methodology: Briefly explain your overall approach, including your methods, procedures and process. (Max. 100 words)• Novel / Additive Information: Explain how this paper will present novel (new) or additive information to the existing body of literature that can be of benefit to and / or add to the state of knowledge in the Industry. (Max. 75 words)• Results / Observations / Conclusions: Describe the results, observations and conclusions of the proposed paper. (Max. 200 words)

Conference participants unable to attend their session

• Agree to refrain from marketing products or services through the presentation. • Share openly knowledge, experience, skills, and creativity with participants.

• Please note that if accepted, your paper may be published, as submitted, in conference information media, including the Conference Proceedings (CD-ROM/Flash Drive) and on the Organizer’s website.• The Organizer assumes no obligation for expenses by authors for travel, lodging, food, or other incidental expenses.

• Copyright - All authors of Papers or e-Posters presented at the conference will be required to complete and submit a copyright release form to the Organizer or submit the copyright exemption form where applicable.

• Abstracts must be previously unpublished work at the time of submission.

• Submitted abstract could be accepted for either Paper Presentation or e-Poster Presentation.• Time limit of 20 minutes will be allocated to each Paper Presenter, followed by 5-10 minutes of Q & A.• Presentation slides to be limited to 25-30 slides only.• The accepted abstracts will be informed to the author to submit the presentation. A detailed format guideline will be sent to the authors based on the approval of the abstracts;• Selected presenters are requested to work closely with the Conference Organizing Committee.• Provide a short outline of the presentation for inclusion in the Conference Souvenir. • Make no substantive changes in content, process, names without the approval of the Conference Organizers.• Agree to have the session audio and video recorded to provide ongoing learning for

a. Abstract Submission Technical Paper and e-Poster abstracts to be submitted to the conference Organizing Committee on or before the call date. b. Abstract Content The abstract shall substantiate submitted topic that would facilitate the organizing committee for evaluation process .The abstract should not be more than 450 words and written in English. The Abstracts should include the following;• Title of the Paper, Names of authors

9. GUIDELINES FOR e-POSTERS • An electronic poster (e-Poster) is a poster in PowerPoint format, allowing the inclusion of movies, sounds and other multi-media formats, and presenters are encouraged to take advantage of the versatility of this medium. • All multi-media e-Posters will be presented at numbered monitors in the main e-Posters display hall. • e-Poster presentations are 10/15 minutes in length, and authors must be available for discussion at an assigned time, and at assigned monitors. • In addition, conference attendees have access to all e-Posters on the monitors at any others time during the conference.
