movies since we were children, at lease we have to know about the man who invented this world and made every thing possible.

Walt Disney Short Bio Walter Elias known as Walt Disney was born in the Hermosa section of Chicago, on

December 5, 1901. His father, Elias Disney was an Irish-Canadian man, and his mother, Flora Call Disney, was German-American woman. Walter was one of five children; they were four boys and one girl. According to http://history1900s.about.com “Elias was a stern man who administered “corrective” beatings to his five children; Flora soothed the children with nightly readings of fairy tales”, that might be a reason for Walt wonderful imagination, that inspired children all over the world. Moreover, Walt lived his childhood in Marceline, Missouri where he began to draw and sell his pictures to family, neighbors and friends. In 1911, his family moved to Kansas City, where Walter had his first working summer job, he worked with railroad, selling snacks and newspapers to the travelers. Walt attended McKinley High School in Chicago, where he took drawing and photography classes. And he was a contributing cartoonist for the school paper. At age 16, he dropped high school and lied about his age to join the American Red Cross during World War I. Walt joined the Red Cross and was sent overseas to France, where he spent a year driving an ambulance. After that, He returned home, where he won a scholarship to the Kansas City Art Institute. There, he met a fellow animator and a friend, lwerks, soon they have set up their own company. The name of the company was Laugh-O-Grams, but unfortunately it fell bankrupt. At that time Walt only had 20 dollars, he went to Hollywood with only 20 dollar to start fresh. According to http://www.justdisney.com “After making a success of his "Alice Comedies," Walt became a recognized Hollywood figure. On July 13, 1925, Walt married one of his first employees, Lillian Bounds, in Lewiston, Idaho. Later on they would be blessed with two daughters, Diane and Sharon”. In 1937, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, was the first full-length animated musical feature, premiered at the Carthay Theater in Los Angeles. The movie was huge success. After that, Walt Disney had a plan, he wanted to do an entertainment park for the families. According to the web site, “Walt Disney's dream of a clean, and organized amusement park, came true, as Disneyland Park opened in 1955”.

What made you name Disneyland "Disneyland"?

I thought that my work, and company, had an image of real family. Stuff that all ages could enjoy.

If we called it "wonderland," or "fantasy world," who would know that WE made it.

Also, it's a nice way to not only sell the park, but also our movies and films.

I have two questions: In Disneyland, Walt Disney originally refered to Sleeping Beauty's Castle by an other name? Which Disneyland Park attraction is know as Disneyodendron semperflorens grandis?

Ah yes. Well, I referred to it as "Snow White's Castle." Sleeping Beauty wasn't released until 1959.
