- Envy, strife, abusive language, evil suspicions (6:4)- The love of money (6:6-10)- Sexual sin (2 Tim. 2:22; 1 Cor. 6:18)- There are times in the life of the man of God when to stand is the wrong action – we need to flee!

- Paul encouraged Timothy to “take hold of eternal life.”- “For this reason we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away from it.” Heb. 2:1

- “Take care, brethren, that there not be in any one of you an evil, unbelieving heart that falls away from the living God.” Heb. 3:12

- The man of God is going to pursue an eternal perspective, take hold of the promise of eternal life, and never let it go.
