Filmed on location at Tramway, (http://www. tramway.org) Glasgow, the soundstage was open to the public as an installation throughout the festival. It combines live performance and installation into a drama about how far we’ll go to get on in the world. The central character Jonathan begins the story as a spectator, is persuaded to become its central actor, and ends up its victim. ‘The Making of Us’ explores its themes of theatricality and authority through a mixture of cinematic and documentary techniques with a leading cast of Scottish actors and renowned Director of Photography, Michael McDonough. This screening forms part of GENERATION, a national programme taking place in the summer of 2014 that will celebrate the wealth of contemporary art that has developed in Scotland over the last 25 years. Over 60 venues across the country are participating in this unique programme. Between 10 May and 5 July, Gracefield presents an exhibition of work by leading Scottish artists Christine Borland, Dalziel + Scullion and Graham Fagen. The Film Theatre is delighted to welcome Graham Fagen and Graham Eatough to introduce screening on Saturday 10 May at 11am, followed by drinks reception.
