What is a Snapshot?

Called the “Keep Tool Kit”
Knowledge Media Lab Mission
The Carnegie Foundation’s KML helps institutions and faculty take advantage of the growing power of emerging technologies and new media to transform the knowledge implicit in effective teaching into ideas, theories, and resources that can be used widely in a variety of situations and contexts.
Goal of a Snapshot
Used to advance the Scholarship of Teaching by:
- Make teaching practice visible and public- Solicit critical peer-review- Learn and build on each other’s work
How
Enables non-technical (and busy!) faculty and students to examine, select and organize resources and artifacts and transform them into visually appealing and intellectually engaging knowledge representations with their reflections.

How to Make a Snapshot
Step 1 Go to Keep tool kit web page and
register
Step 2 Log in
Step 3 This is the main page,called the dash
board.
Next Steps
Step 4 Click on New tab,click on Case Study
Template tab, Click MERLOT, click Use Template link Supply a name into the field Click submit
Step 5 You now have your blank template to use.
Step 6 Begin to add content.
