My subject was dogs.
Every dog has their own personality.
That is how I developed my characters.
Study your subject for uniqueness and
let your imagination run free.
I noticed that my dog Xia had one little
pink toe.
What if… that pink little toe had a meaning?
a sign of something special?
magical?
Use your background experiences.
Everyone has a story.
I worked with emotionally challenged
children and adolescents in a residential
facility.
Therapy dogs visited with the students on a
weekly basis.
Unconditional love, care, and interactions
between the child and dog were
therapeutic and healing.
Another what if question popped into my head.
What if dogs really are angels in fur coats?
With those two what if questions the
Fur Angels Series were born
