Have no fear; the company behind the privacy-focused Blackphone is now planning to release a tablet that will help its user hide away.

FIRST THERE WAS BLACKPHONE

Silent Circle focuses on privacy, first and foremost, so the Blackphone encrypts almost everything: texts, emails, phone calls. The company emphasises how important it is that the user should be able to limit how much information is sent and received, which is made possible by the phone’s control centre utility.

PrivatOS is a version of Android, with everything designed to be unhackable, untraceable and as secure as possible.

THE NEW TABLET

Jon Callas, co-founder of Silent Circle, said ‘We are in fact working on a tablet. We are not ready to disclose the exact features, but we want it to be a high-end tablet.’

‘We want it to have the features people who use it every day will demand from it.’
