Orientation programme for freshers’ - both regular and SF has been carried on 24.06.2016 at Sankar Iyer Hall and Auditorium.

Blood donation camp was conducted on 11.08.2016 to make the awareness of blood donation. Secretary, Madura College Board inaugurated the function and donated blood on the occasion.

Independence day was celebrated on 15.08.2016 in the College campus. President of MCB hosted the flag accompanied by Secretary and Treasurer of Madura College Board. Principal, Vice-Principal, Director-SF were also presented.

Inauguration of Chamber of E-commerce-Lab in Commerce department on 15.08.2016. President, Secretary and Treasurer of Madura College Board inaugurated the function.

PEP Programs in Commerce Department on 18.08.2016.

An exclusive RO unit was installed for the use of Commerce Department Students and Staff members by The Treasurer of Madura College Board on 29.08.2016

As part of Swatch Bharath Abhiyaan, student volunteers (NSS) cleaning the campus on 30.08.2016

Teacher's day was celebrated in the College on 06.09.2016 President, Secretary and Treasurer of Madura College Board inaugurated the function. Brahmacharini Vedavati from Chinmaya Mission, Madurai has delivered special lecture about teaching profession and teaching methods.

Bharathiyar Memorial Day function was celebrated on 16.09.2016. Sri.R.N.Renganatha Sharma, Principal, Sadguru Sangeetha Samajam, Madurai, Sri.S.Sankaran and Poet K.Manivannan, Directors, Madura College Board were the chief guests.

Campus cleaning drive was organized by the NSS boys and girls units of our college on 19.09.2016

Disaster management drill – A disaster preparedness drill was conducted by district administration and fire service department of Madurai and Inaugurated by District collector K. Viraragava Rao, IAS on 05/10/2017

Common Board of studies was held in all the departments on 07.10.2016.

STEP 16' - National level UGC sponsored seminar on 'DARSANA'- a philosophical quest of India was held on 14.10.2016

Autonomy status of our college has been reviewed by UGC-autonomy review committee on 22 & 23.10.2016

Madurai district legal aid program was held on 25.10.2016. Justice Paneerselvam, Judge, Consumer council court, Madurai was the chief guest.

Vigilance awareness programme was conducted as part of the vigilance awareness week on 03.11.2016. The programme was sponsored by State Bank of Mysore.

The IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Cell) of our College organized a “Faculty Recharge Programme” on 14th December 2016 in the Seminar Hall of our College. Assistant Professors from various departments of The Madura College (Autonomous), Madurai actively participated in the programme.

The IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Cell) of our College organized “One-Day Workshop on Research Methodology” for Research Scholars (M.Phil. & Ph.D.) in the Seminar Hall of our College on 22ndDecember 2016.

As part of the academic routine, Academic audit was done in all the departments of the College on 24.12.2016

Investor awareness programme sponsored by ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund was held on 29.12.2016.

Weekly prayer meeting on Mondays.
