InvestmeInvestment Structure

As an approved Resort Development under Grenada’s Citizenship by Investment Programme the investment opportunity provides many benefi ts and is structured as follows:

The investor shall have conveyed to him/her freehold deeded ownership of an undivided share estate and interest in a villa property within the La Pointe Beach Resort, in consideration of the investment sum, to be duly recorded at the Deeds and Lands Registry of the State of Grenada.

The investor upon executing the Sale and Purchase Agreement shall at the same time enter into a Lease Agreement, with the rental management company, whereby the Investor would agree to lease his/her undivided share estate and interest in the villa unit to the rental management company for a fi ve (5) year term and enjoy a return on investment.

CITIZENSHIP BY INVESTMENTThe Citizenship by Investment Programme came into being when the Grenadian Parliament passed the Citizenship By Investment Act of 2013, The stated objective of the Act is to enable persons to acquire permanent residence and citizenship of Grenada by registration following investment in Grenada.

Application ProcessAn applicant for citizenship must fulfi l the personal requirements established under the Grenada Citizenship by Investment Act, 2013. Among other things, this means that he or she must be at least eighteen years old, have no criminal record, be in good health, and be willing to make the required contribution. A person who fulfi ls these requirements may then take the following steps:

Step 1Contact an authorised Marketing Agent. Applications for citizenship may not be submitted directly to Grenada’s Citizenship by Investment Committee (CBIC) and must only be handled by authorised marketing agents. The Marketing Agent’s role is to provide the applicant with advice and assistance in preparing the application for submission.

Step 2The Marketing Agent will then liaise with an authorised Local Agent. A Local Agent is someone who has been granted a Local Agent’s licence by the Minister and who is authorized to act on behalf of the main applicant with respect to his or her application. The Local Agent’s role is to provide guidance and assist in preparing documents for submission to the CBIC.

Step 3When all forms are complete, the Local Agent submits the application to the CBIC. The Local Agent then becomes responsible for liaising with the CBIC in relation to all

correspondence, queries, or questions that may arise with respect to the applicant’s fi le.

Step 4Each application is vetted by the Government through a thorough due diligence background check, during which time submitted information is examined and verifi ed.

Step 5If the application is successful, the CBIC issues a letter instructing the applicant (through his or her Authorised Local Agent) to complete the purchase of his or her real estate by the execution of all necessary documents. Upon receiving proof of payment, the CBIC issues the certifi cate of registration, establishing that the applicant has received Grenadian citizenship. The Local Agents must use this certifi cate to apply for a Grenadian passport on behalf of the applicant.
