The Confession of Faith The Nicene Creed (Hymnal-inside back cover)
The Commandment Exodus 20:3 “You shall have no other gods before Me.”
The Confession of Sin and Supplication for Grace O Lord our God, we are reminded of the Divine purpose for the incarnation: that His name was called Jesus because He would save His people from their sins. We are grieved that our condition was so sinful that it required nothing less than the death of the Son of God. We mourn over our fallen natures and all our sins that proceed from it. We confess that in our flesh dwells no good thing. We have broken your commandments in thought, word, and deed. We have committed sins of omission and commission. We have been lazy over Heaven‟s concerns and selfish over our own. Even in our best efforts we find pride and self. “ Wretched man that I am. Who will set me free from this body of death? Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord.” O Father, we thank You for His birth, His life, His death, His resurrection, and His ascension for sinners like us. In His redeeming name, we ask Your forgiveness and pardon. Amen.
The Scriptural Assurance of Pardon Jeremiah 31:33, 34 “But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares the Lord, “I will put My law within them, and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. And they shall not teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, „Know the Lord,‟ for they shall all know Me from the least of them to the great-est of them,” declares the Lord, “for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”

The Receiving of Tithes and Offerings
The Offertory Anthem SING PRAISE TO GOD arr. Pfautsch Sing praise to God...who reigns above...the God of all creation, the God of power, the God of love, the God of our salvation. With healing balm my soul He fills and every faithless murmur stills. To God all praise and glory. What God‟s almighty power hath made His gracious mercy keepeth. By morning glow or evening shade His watchful eye never sleepeth. Within the kingdom of His might, Lo, all is just and all is right. To God all praise and glory. The Lord is never far away, but through all grief distressing, an ever present help and stay, our peace and joy and blessing. As with a mother‟s tender hand He leads His own, His chosen band. To God all praise and glory. Thus all my toilsome way along I shall sing aloud Thy praises, that men may hear the grateful song my unwearied voice now raises. Be joyful in the Lord, O my heart; both soul and body bear your part. To God all praise and glory. Amen.
