The Long board

My wonderful parents are the best parents out there. Long boards are skateboards but longer.

My skateboard is becoming older and starting to wear down and a long board would be a

different experience for me. Long boards are easier to control and not really meant for tricks

which would be safer to ride.

Transportation, A long board would mean that my parents wouldn’t have to drive me to my

friend’s house. If my mom’s car was being washed and I had no other type of transportation

not even my old skateboard I could use my long board.

Responsibility, I would learn to wear a helmet without being asked. I would take care of my

long board by cleaning it. If I run down the tires or chip the paint I would have to do chores

which would help the house keeper and help me buy my equipment.

Exercise, If I had a long board I would lose weight. My legs eventually would be even

stronger and hopefully I’d be faster. Fresh air would help my lungs become stronger and I

could do more. I recently climbed a sand dune in Namibia and if I weren’t healthy I would

not have been able to climb it twice.

Conclusion, I think having a long board would help me with understanding the importance of

fresh air, being active, wearing a helmet, and my own independence of getting around.
