Size and Location of the Organs:
Liver The liver sits to the right of the stomach. The human liver weighs between 3.2 and 3.7 pounds.
Gallbladder:The Gallbladder is 8 centimeters in length and 4
centimeters in diameter. It sits just beneath the right lobe of the liver.

The liver’s function and relation to digestion:
Function:One of the liver’s function is to create bile It filters the blood coming from the digestive tract
Relation to Digestion:Bile helps break down fat

Enzymes found in the Liver and their Functions:
Enzymes found in the liver:Alanine Transaminase(ALT)- Plays a role in metabolism,
the process that converts food into energy. If the liver is injured, ALT is released into the blood stream.
Aspartate Transaminase(AST)- Plays a role in processing proteins.
Total bilirubin and direct bilirubin-Bilirubin is a byproduct of the normal breakdown of red blood cells.

Functions of the Liver:
Functions:Convertion of excess glucose in glycogenProduction of proteins for blood plasmaProduction of cholestrol and special proteins to carry fats through the body

Relation between the Liver and the Gallbladder:
•The liver produces bile and the Gallblader store and releases the bile.
