We have some great ideas and have even listed our top 10 fundraisers to do at work, and at home.

Fundraising for Cancer Society is a great opportunity to connect with others to celebrate life today, remember loved ones and fight back by fundraising.

By fundraising you are helping Cancer Society provide a wide range of support services and information for people affected by cancer. You are also supporting vital research into the causes and treatment of cancer.

Health and safetyIt’s all about common sense. Follow the professional advice of equipment manufacturers and staff supervising any facilities. Food hygieneThis is vitally important. No one likes an upset tummy, especially as a reward for raising money for a charity. Please take great care when handling food and work to basic rules for safe preparation, storage, display and cooking.

Persuade a few friends to indulge in the modelling career they’ve always dreamed of - set them on the catwalk!

Get a group of friends or colleagues to pose for a calendar, with profits from sales coming to Cancer Society. So get snapping!

20 A recipe for successGather together all of your family’s and friends’ mouth-watering recipes and create your own cookbook.

21 A bit of theatre...

Encourage local theatre and music groups to dedicate a show to raising funds.

Create your own version of the popular TV show. Host a dinner party with a few friends. At the end of the evening, rate the food and the host’s performance. Make a donation to take part and make sure the winner receives a prize for being the ‘hostess with the mostest’.

Collect as many quotes from movies or song lyrics you can and test the trivia knowledge of friends and family. Charge entry to the quiz, with a prize for the winner.

37 Caption competitionChoose a funny photo from your lastholiday or office party and hold a caption competition. Entrants pay per caption and the winner receives the framed photo to display on their desk or noticeboard. If it’s an embarrassing photo, people might pay you not to display it.

38 Eyes down!

You’re bound to get a full house with bingo.

Kelly’s eye, knock at the door, lucky seven, legs eleven. Bring back the old bingo lingo.
