The Cancer Care FundThe Lexington Medical Center Foundation supports

many areas of cancer care for in-need patients such

as purchasing critical medications and supplies,

and providing emergency assistance with utilities and

other living expenses. The Foundation serves as a strong

partner for these patients, helping them during their

most difficult moments.

How You Can HelpCancer has a profound effect on every life. equally

profound is the extraordinary difference that we can

make together — starting today. You can help create

and perpetuate a culture of caring in our community

by supporting the cancer patients at Lexington

Medical Center.

As Lexington Medical Center

continues to expand its

cancer programs, support

of the Foundation becomes

more vital. our facilities are

growing to serve more

patients and we need our

community’s support in two

major ways:

New Infusion CenterWith more than 1,000 new cancer diagnoses each year, the increased demand for outpatient infusion services at Lexington Medical Center has led to a new Infusion Center at Lexington oncology Associates that is scheduled to open in the spring of 2012. The state-of-the-art facility will feature cutting-edge technologies as well as “comfort” items provided by generous Foundation donors.

Supporting Patient Needs As the number of cancer patients continues to grow and medications become more costly, the Foundation will need to increase our support of emergency needs and prescription assistance for cancer patients. Many of these patients are unable to work and maintain insurance coverage during their prolonged illness, causing severe financial burdens for them and their families.
