Patalod 2 nd year - BSA THE LEGEND OF THE FIREFLY Synopsis of The Legend of the Firefly The legend goes like this, a long time ago, there was a handsome, well-built young man who is dreaming of marrying the most beautiful maiden he could lay his eyes on. He was boastful and arrogant. One day, he was on his way going up to the mountain until he saw a lovely maiden wearing the whitest dress, as bright as the sun rays. For him, she was the most beautiful maiden he had ever seen. But the maiden suddenly disappeared when he's getting close to her. He went and searched the whole forest just to find her but he's so tired from all the searching so he got mad and screamed: "You're not really beautiful! Did you hear me? You have a flat nose, you're a cross-eyed and you have the biggest ears I've ever seen." And then he lied down under the tree and he shocked because he saw the most beautiful maiden. He knew that all the bad things he had said when he got mad was all untrue. But the most beautiful maiden was insulted so she cursed the man to become a bug and for him to come back to a human form, he has to show the maiden that will surpass the beauty of fairy. Synopsis of The Legend of the Firefly The legend goes like this, a long time ago, there was a

Now being a bug, he fly near and far to find the maiden much prettier than the fairy. Day and night he went on search hoping to find the lady. He brought a light with him to help in his search during nighttime to find the maiden who will surpass the beauty of fairy. He became the only bug who has a light, desperately in search of the maiden that will be the key for his human form to come back.

A good-looking man who is dreaming to have a beautiful wife to marry with in the future. He was boastful and arrogant. He is confident that he can marry the most beautiful woman. He easily lose hope and a liar.

Fairy The woodland fairy disguised as the most beautiful maiden.

Give the objects or creatures in the myth that leave the marks of the community. For me is the man because he immediately lose hope, he can’t wait the

time until that beautiful maiden will appear again. The more time you are waiting the more it is worth it.

Identify a common experience of the people that is shown in the myth. Almost men dreaming of marrying the most beautiful woman in the world so

that they keep on searching and searching to find that beautiful woman.

Sometimes for all the time you had spent and the hardship you had endured looking without succeeding, you got mad and lose hope. You could say all those insulting things even you know to yourself that those bad things are all untrue just to express your anger.

All of the ladies or girls were offended when they are insulting because all of them have unique beauties. Even the ugliest woman in the world, she is not belief that she is ugly because she has a unique beauty maybe others don’t see her beauty. And not only physical look is the basis of beauty but also the attitude of the ladies. Even you are the most beautiful woman in the world but if you are also the most devil attitude, you never be a beautiful in the eyes of people. Because attitude is the most important of all.

We believe in Karma if you would disrespect any man and woman, there is always a karma who would kicks us all in the butt in the end of the day. That's what happens when you run your mouth off.

In China, long ago, it was believed that fireflies were a product of burning grasses. Ancient Chinese manuscripts hint that a popular summer pastime was to catch fireflies and put them in a transparent box, to use as a lantern, much like children (and adults) often do today.

What is your opinion about “Punishment”?Punishment is occurs when you have done mistakes but it always decreases the chances that same mistakes will occur again in the future. Punishment is not for revenge, but to discipline ourselves to become a good person. Nobody is perfect, yes we often do mistakes but one way to learn our mistakes is to be punished by someone to be able to realize our fault and will never do that again.
