Yet Another Eventful Cravia Sports Day It’s that time of the year again when fun is all around, our spirits are high and our will to outperform is at the peak - Cravia Sports Day 2017! We are delighted to complete another fun-filled edition of Cravia Sports Day that was held on Monday, the 16th of October 2017, at United Sports Pro, Al Quoz. The range of activities that made this year’s Sports Day all the more exciting and entertaining were Football, Cricket, Dodgeball, Volley Ball, Basket Ball, Badminton and Table Tennis. As always, tournaments for each of these games were held where the ZWZ, CNB, SBC, TSB and the Office teams competed for trophies and medals.

2018 EUMEA Regional Meet

Paving The Way Forward At Cinnabon

Cinnabon’s Regional Meet - 2018 EUMEA Planning Meeting was held between 25th and 27th September 2017 at Kempinski Hotel Soma Bay, Hurghada, Egypt. There were many productive outlines and approaches discussed for the future, including marketing plans, consumer trends and behavior, supply chain, operations,

sales growth and performances, sampling, and delivery service in various countries. A constructive workshop was also part of the meet, where the long-term planning budget was forecasted based on a 5-year consolidated P&L. The regional meet was complete with fun and productivity.

Cravia, known for satisfying people’s cravings for delicious food, opened a new Five Guys branch on 19th October, 2017 on Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz Road, in Riyadh - KSA, also known as Tahlia Street which is buzzing with food lovers due to a wide range of restaurants. This branch is the 5th in KSA and 3rd in Riyadh.

The branch features a fabulous ambience and can accommodate 210 guests with ample staff to serve,

and ensure that every guest that walks-in, enjoys the best burger in town. The outdoor seating of the branch adds to the overall charm of this branch. Cravia will strive to open more FG branches all over KSA, and in the region, ensuring the finest experience for every burger lover.

Cinnabon has recently introduced its delivery service for most of the areas in Abu Dhabi and some parts of Dubai. This means the residents of Dubai and Abu Dhabi can enjoy the delicious range of Cinnabon Rolls, Bites, Stix and Cinnapacks, in addition to a wide range of refreshments, from the comfort of their home. Cinnabon has also partnered

with the well-known online delivery chain Talabat, to ensure online users can also place orders.

The introduction of the delivery service has been received very well by Cinnabon fans and enthusiasts and is certainly helping us reach out to all those who would love to indulge indoors.

My colleagues in Cravia family, I wanted to share with you a story my father used to tell me, and which occurred during one of his travels:

He was passing nearby the elephants in a zoo, and he suddenly stopped, confused by the fact that these huge creatures were being held by only a small rope tied to their front leg. No chains, no cages. It was obvious that the elephants could, at any time, break away from their bonds but for some reason, they did not.

He saw a trainer nearby and asked why these animals just stood there and made no attempt to get away.

“Well,” the trainer said, “when they are very young and much smaller we use the same sized rope to tie them and, at that age, it’s enough to hold them. As they grow up, they are conditioned to believe they cannot break away. They believe the rope can still hold them, so they never try to break free.”

My father was amazed. These animals could at any time break free from their bonds but because they believed they couldn’t, they were stuck right where they were.

Like the elephants, how many of us go through life hanging onto a belief that we cannot do something, simply because we failed at it once before?

Failure is part of learning; we should never give up the struggle in life.
